Lloyd, by the way, was one of only two British boxers who refused to support the campaign last year. He had an attack of the Gordon Ramsay's when he was asked! I've never said a bad word about him!

Adios and enjoy this one.
That begs two questions -

A. Why did he refuse.

B. Who was the other boxer.

No idea. I'm convinced that he has confused me with somebody - the hate in his email reply was staggering!
The other fighter was Matt Skelton - he was presumably upset over some things I said in about 2004 about his skills, which would mean that he ignored about 500 references on radio, tv and in the papers to his heart, desire and power.

Adios and enjoy foul-mouthed Honeyghan!

DP,
I believe that you have your Dyers mixed up.
Darren was a brilliant but troubled welter and one day in the Old Kent Road it is possible that he had a plastic bag with a hammer and his eyes set on Honeyghan.
Danny is a professional geezer in white shoes.
It's a confusing situation, but not dire.

Adios.

I thought that Honeyghan was magnificent. It's John H.Stracey tonight (23rd) on ESPN Classic at 11:05. This series has been about looking back and watching the fighters putting it all on the line in hard, hard fights.

Enjoy and adios.

Any chance of a channel taking up your old Setanta show Steve? What were the viewing figures like for the show? (If you don't mind me asking).

I think that Vaca fight was Honeyghun at his absolute peak. Never the same fighter after that... Laboured to a win via a bollocks shot against an oriental opponent and then looked shot against the Brilliant Starling.
