you can check my record on the records thread..... i fought top competition every week after i won my first title... you lost yours to saldivar and ducked and fought bums back up to the title.

When champ you must always fight top 10'rs so it was not by choice....we chose to face the best right from the gitgo going right down the draft choices....AND Azumah KO'd your man....

pretty subjective.....take a look at all the excuses that abound. I would say a KO trumps a duck. Just because we did not sign on the line when you whined, does not make a case for ducking.

And never resting your fighter is pretty lame managment. I can honestly say I never had ducking on my mind at any point this year regardless of how you interpreted it. With Nelson I felt his style always made for even money going into every fight. Never feared a single fighter on the roster.

With Maxie I did look at styles a bit and attempted to avoid certain situations except when the fight had to be made. But management is important. Otherwise you can just line up the fighters, and let the software do the rest. It's the human element that makes this interesting. Stategizing is how many champions were made through out history. Not that that wins any popularity contests. And styles make fights.....look at the three way round robins that go on. Sort of the merry go round of Ali has a great chance to beat Foreman who has a great chance to beat Frazier who has a great chance to beat Ali.

You've got to give the managers some room, and not always call it ducking....sometimes it's simply "Strategery". I never thought Nelson could knock Saddler down 5 times in a fight, but I also never dreamed Marquez could beat Nelson 2 for 2. I did have a sneaking suspicion that Nelson would do well against Arguello, and not so well vs Chocolate...but those were pure guesses on my part.

I hope this season doesn't end now. I still need rematches with Nelson and Marquez, and there are several top fighters I'd like to face that I haven't yet.

in response to buzz... the whole "ducking" aspect is all fun and games to keep sim heated. i dont really think you're a bad buy because you choose not to fight me.

I will be stepping down as the other thread says but try and keep nominations to the correct thread then the man in charge can create a voting thread. Keeps it all orderly. :TU:

x2. I'm massively in favour of giving TF as much time off as he wants, or waiting four to six weeks before discussing the future again. This was shaping up to be a great season.
