Well done to the winners, hard luck to the British losers. Look how much we have learned in a short space of time - what confidence will this give the British fighters in future tornaments. The Cubans are fanastic, but fight very much at their own pace and don't like fighting on the back foot - you have got to go on the offensive to beat them. Looks like Lee has twigged that and so has a few of the other respesentives.
Well done.
GB and Ireland Beat Cuba.
Pryce was the Super Heavyweight. I wasn't talking about Ahern's fight - but Ian Lewinson's.dve3333 wrote:Yes but Ahern showed up last minute as a replacement for a flu-hit Egan and to go in and win like he did on such a late call deserves creditstujones wrote:Was that the same guy who Pryce beat last week? He wasn't that good to be honest.

I wasnt sure what to make of Lewinson either last week but on watching the fight on Irish TV last night I thought that it was a close fight and evenly balanced until the Cuban dislocated his shoulder
