Zap KO'd Omar Siala in one round yet it took Ashley Theophane 11 rounds to stop the same opponent! Zap is down to fight 2-3 Gabriel Adoko in defence of his WBC Youth Belt. Adoko is Ghanaian and with more losses than wins, surely he could have held out for a Commonwealth title shot

I just watched the fight with Siala (no i didn't even need Kanal Avrupta TV!) and Zap looked okay to start with. Stalked his man and looked loose...then he started throwing shots :-? His hooks were wide and wayward but he wasn't a complete windmill and when he hurt Siala he backed him to the ropes and landed some big hooks to finish his man. Siala was rubbing a swollen eye or something, but basically Zap's power told :D

There is potential i think but lots of work needed as well. Alexander Povetkin next on this disk...now i'm getting excited.

How the eff did I miss this? I was digging the thread up to "break the news" that was in BN. Just a week and a half late anyway. He's signed Mahling as well (him of the camp pose.)

In other ZAP news, the Zapinator fights for the IBF welterweight youth title in October.

ZAP steps it up on Friday when he takes on Dutch powerhouse Leonard Stotijn (0-3)

This is clearly a warm-up for the highly-touted Stotijn ahead of his hotly anticipated match-up with 0-2 Francesco Capuano next June. Capuano is rated 1012 out of 1011 by boxrec at lightweight, whilst sex-pot Stotijn is an underestimated 1046 of 1045 at 140. Who wins? I just can't decide. I can advise you, however, that you should start saving up now for the PPV.

The artist formally known as Zapir Gereev is now to be known as Zapir Rasulov after getting married and taking his wifes name.

Oh, and in case anyone didn't know, the Zapmeister is still undefeated, invinsible, and is now surely just waiting for Michael Jennings to vacate the WBU before full and total domination of the world can be completed.

Just wish i had KANAL AVRUPA TV
This is what the sport needs, genuine title fights like this one to bring it back into the mainstream and full credit to KANAL AVRUPA TV for showing it. I bet they'll be a queue on the boxing torrents sites for this one.

I'm thinking of a road trip myself, can't afford to miss this one.

I am getting ringside tickets for this.

I believe this is the nearest thing we will see to the Rumble in the Jungle.

The more of these titles the better.

You confused 5'10" bald-headed Sherman Williams with 7'2" dreadlocked Julius Long...

Does anyone by any chance know if Zap's fight in Mexico went ahead last night? It's the only fight from the card not in on boxrec's database and I can't find any reports mentioning his fight :verysad:

Zap hasn't fought since last December now and I fear he is stagnating. I had him down for the WBO Europe title by Jan 2011, world domination by Oct 2011, and outright WBC Silver title victor by May 2012.

Anyone have any news?
