At least give a link mate. What's the point of us all making comments on a thread that may be just BS. Your post seems to be contradicting what Khan and his team have saying in the last week or so. I have heard Khan and Schaefer both saying that they are planning for Khan to fight Maidana followed by the winner of Bradley/Alexander and then possibly considering a fight with Mayweather in Late-ish 2011 (around October) if the Pacquiao fight cannot be made. I've not heard anywhere about Khan wanting to fight Mayweather in Spring next year before the chance of a unification fight with the winner of Bradley/Alexander. After seeing Khan destroy Maidana later this year and if he performs well and unifies against the other LWW champs then in about 9 months time it would be more realistic to discuss Khan's chances against Floyd, who is getting older and his personal problems aren't helping him too much. If Khan performs really well in his next couple of fights I'd fancy his chances against a possibly deteriorating Mayweather but there are just too many ifs and buts to be worrying about it right now. However, like some of you have already said, Floyd should be fighting Pacquiao, Williams etc. and not picking someone who has recently moved up to LWW from Lightweight.

I was always under the impression that if khan beat maidana he'll be fighting the winner of bradley vs alexander and if he won that then he'd fight mayweather?!

Mayweather needs a fight that would catch the imagination of the world and Khan is the man that fits the bill.

I have huge belief that Khan can be a brilliant champion but I also believe if offered the fight he would take it as it would make him enough money to call it today tommorow.

In reality this fight is far to early for Amir he isnt ready for a fighter of the quality of Mayweather yet.

interesting matchup, Khan has the style to trouble Mayweather, specially because he is a tall, very fast handed guy who punches in straight lines.
Thing is, he has just started getting confortable at 140, and lacks experience. jumping from the likes of Kotelnik to Mayweather is too big of a leap imo.
Mayweather can easily fight at 154 now, why is he fighting a guy who's just 140 ?
What weight would they fight?

That is the definitely correct order of doing things but the OP has said a fight with Mayweather is being lined up for next 'SPRING'. If that was the case then Khan would not be able to fight the winner of Bradley/Alexander before fighting Floyd!

Thats what i remember Richard Scaefher saying though,he said he wanted to build khan up into a legitimate pay per view superstar and to do that Khan would have to beat Maidana and then the winner of bradley/alexander!Im not sure they could sell khan as a major attraction in the states with just the win over maidana! Also Mayweather wouldnt take the risk unless the money to be made would be very substantial and at this moment in time khan isnt a big enough name in america!

Mayweather will KO him inside six rounds. Khan will set a fast pace and leave himself open.

You would know best Frankie but that pay day is bigger then any other in boxing isn't it, must be tempting.

If Khan falls for this he must be a complete fool and is putting himself in serious danger. He won't see a fraction of the dough Hatton earned for the same match becauise he doesn't have the following or public adulation the 'Cokehead' had, Id he takes it he is gambling with not only his career but his health. Total madness.

Khan is probably faster at this point in time, but he hasn't the skill set of Mayweather or the experience in top line world class contests.

I'd favour Mayweather to take this quite comfortably.

shot. presumably we should also add that Khan would be fighting a blownup superfeatherweight, inactive non-puncher, on the wrong side of 30, too :TU:

At this stage Mayweather would ruin Khan. Khan would be left grasping at straws. Speed is very useful, but against a master boxer like Mayweather, you need a hell of a lot more than lots of quick punches.

Khan would start fast but would soon find himself baffled by Mayweather's ability to be just out of reach all the time, and would gradually become more and more negative as we've seen time and time again.

Mayweather wins a lop sided decision, or if Khan get's careless, stops him late.

Khan hasn't fought a boxer any where near the level of Mayweather. This will be completely one sided, with Khan probably retiring around the 9th.

Sure Khan is fast, but it appears he still doesn't have a spiteful enough dig to cause to much concern to Floyd. Floyd will land, and land often, with clean shots (if not massive ones) he'll also rattle off more combinations than Khan is used to facing.

At this stage, its a no brainer, couple of years time Floyd could be on the slide so I would give Khan a much better chance.
