I am thinking about voting for Plaid Cymru in the quest to put some pressure on getting our own government (I'm not a nationalist, but do think he have the resourse to be our own country). However, it is such a wasted voted in my constituency that I will vote Labour, because it is usually a fairly closish Labour vs Tory seat - and I do not want the latter.
Any vote other than Labour is considered a wasted vote in my constituency too but sod it, I've voted Plaid Cymru. One day.............
Plaid Cymru .... great..... lets abolish council tax woo-hoo and replace it bya 50% tax on eveyone earning over 25k per year!

EXACTLY the same situation with me, and I was intending to vote too which made it quite annoying. Apparently they (the council) shove some card through your door in September 2004 asking who is at the address which comprises the annual electoral register. Paying council tax has nothing to do with it seemingly. Like you, I pay council tax etc, but didn’t move into my place until October 2004. The landlady obviously filled the card in for herself (at the time) leaving me off the electoral register for my current address. Just unfortunate timing.
Apparently the deadline was March 2005 to get on the register! I phoned up three weeks ago (assuming this was still plenty of time) but no. The dopey mare on the phone at the council told me I would however be on the register to vote in 4 years time!! (as if that was supposed to make it all ok!)
I voted Labour. It's a shame that the two main parties in Britain are absolute shit. But nevertheless, this country is alot better off without the tories in charge.
Blair should stand down in 12 to 18 months as well, and Gordon Brown might do a better job.

Reduced majority....but no tories again....brilliant.
think just about everyone got what they wanted to be honest.
Labour got a kick up the arse and the realisation that Blair is the second most hated man in the country.
The most hated has just resigned from the tory party.
at least the "conservatories" are in with a shout next time so it holds labour true to whatever lies we get next.
I am not a Brit, only only visited a few times. But it caught my eye that the % for Labor here (34% at the time of posting) is about the same with the 35% they got in the real election.
