Most people in the UK backed Haye, that is correct. The general opinion at the time was that Haye was probably just about favourite but was in no way as much of a favourite as the bookies had him. When they stood face to face (or face to pec), posters began questioning whether Haye would have it in him to do it.
Enzo was a world title holder, however you dismiss his achievements. allegedly tried for years to get Haye in the ring and finally went for it when he believed Haye to be weight drained, a ploy Haye and Booth claim to have put on to entice them into the bout. At the time Warren said he would retire if Enzo lost, he must have been reasonably confident.
And no one suggested Mormeck would be easy. Mormeck was the champion, Mormeck had the crowd, Mormeck put Haye down in the fight.
Should Haye fight and beat one of K2, I'll look forward to you slamming their credentials too.
