Saturday Fight Night
Re: Saturday Fight Night
Good refereeing.
As for the overall show, not a bad Saturday fight night, but not one of the better ones either.

Re: Saturday Fight Night
Totally one sided, just as I thought it would be when this fight was made. Time to let the proper challengers have a go at Webb. Concepcion just not up to title level unfortunately for him.

Re: Saturday Fight Night
I thought that was good promoting by Maloney, Conception is a fairly well known name, has a style made for Webb. This fight will get Webbs confidence up and should get his fan base up a bit as well. Great performance I can't see Arron beating Webb

Hughes is the one on the way up, not seen that much of him.
if Arthur still has title ambitions I think he'll just pip the younger guy![]()

Re: Saturday Fight Night
Webb's fitness and movement are exceptional. Concepcion is an odd one - he looks facially so tough yet he's ridiculously chinny....
Re: Saturday Fight Night
i think with aaron being tall and rangey it would be a tricky fight for webb (great boxing tonight tho props to my mate bob macdonald for gettin him into wicked shape). think webb should go for the euro next tho, would easily beat konshecky if he boxes like he did tonight
Re: Saturday Fight Night
would easily beat konecny??
Re: Saturday Fight Night
Concepcion has improved his chin recently, by trying to get behind his jab more and use his boxing ability. But against Webb he just met a better man in all departments. Concepcion would have been better going gung ho early to try and get an early KO than try to outbox someone who was by far the better technician. The late KO was more an accumulation/tiredness he didn't look badly hurt.reggaereggae wrote:Webb's fitness and movement are exceptional. Re: Saturday Fight Night
Superb performance from Webb. Alan Smith has got Webb boxing to his ability again, like he did when he boxed for Bromley & Downham ABC prior to switching to Fisher ABC.
Obviously Concepcion wasn't a top rate contender, but Webb boxed like a dream and finished the job to perfection.

Anyone got the Pricey fight up?
Re: Saturday Fight Night
Yeah. I like the look of both fighters, can't wait till they get a proper test. Will be able to gauge their potential then.MachoMan09 wrote:jBacca wrote:Anyone got the Pricey fight up?
Not seen it up anywhere. Have you seen his most recent spar with Tom Dallas (08 Oct 10)? Maloney put it up the other day. It's a pretty good move around.

Just watched Pricey against Campbell too. Controlled that one. Who is this Campbell?
Re: Saturday Fight Night
Saw him as an am but didnt realise he was way into his 30's, think he fought for Repton. He represented England at Superheavy, and I saw him win London ABA's. To be honest I always thought he looked a little lethargic, but he did knock seven shades out of his University opponent in the ABA London finals. Campbell debuted a couple of months ago aged 35 I believe.jBacca wrote:Yeah. I like the look of both fighters, can't wait till they get a proper test. Hi mate, yes I have sparred Tom Dallas many times and he is very good. Has a very good work rate and moves very well.MachoMan09 wrote:The spars with Damien Campbell are well worth having a look at too; particularly his one with Dallas.

I like Dallas. I don't necessarily thing he has quite the potential of Price but he is heavy-handed and tenacious. I think he just needs to relax a bit and he'll do really well.
Larry (War Machine), have you been in there with Dallas? How do you rate him?
