The Hamlyn Encyclopedia of Boxing also has a 48-7 record for Buddy Baer, so I guess it's complete

Minor item on Buddy Baer. October 8, 1936 location has WI, USA. Shows Davis fighting both Baer's on same day. Max's location is Platteville, WI.. Would Buddy's be the same? Wouter, does your encyclopedia give Platteville, WI. USA for Buddy also?

Palle, from the figures you give:
There are 10 fights missing from Lou Nova's record.
3 from Roland LaStarza's record.
13 from Gus Ruhlin's record.
30+ from 'Fireman' Jim Flynn's record.
I'll check some of the others later.

Added missing bouts to Nova's record. We have a dupe with Sonnyboy Walker 1937-07-09 & 10, one a win the other a draw.

SteveO,

1984 RRB page 942, has in Roland LaStarza's record,

08-30-48 KO 2 Mel McKinney in NY.

This is not listed in BoxRec.
What are the other 2 bouts missing ?

Also,
BoxRec has,

05-04-48 KO 6 Freddie McManusin NY.
1984 RRB has it as a W 6.

Since I don't trust RRB that much, can anyone clear it up?

It's not a record book, Blue. It only gives records as a whole. It's only helpful in giving an indication of approximately how many fights are missing.

RRBs have Henry Clark's fight v Johnny Gordon as 2nd June 1964 (not 28th)

According to my records:
9th July 1937 Lou Nova DREW10 Sonny 'Boy' Walker.
4th May 1948 Roland LaStarza WPTS6 Freddie McManus.
Sorry, there were only 2 bouts missing from LaStarza's record not 3.
The other one is:
21st December 1960 WKO4 Ike Thomas in Paterson, New Jersey.
Anyone know Lou Nova's reach measurement?
