Great Welterweights (1945-85)

For whatever it's worth, here is a list of great welterweights from 1945-85. I didn't see that many fights before 1945 or after 1985, so here goes:

1. Ray Robinson
2. Kid Gavilan
3. Roberto Duran
4. Ray Leonard
5. Carmen Basilio

Other great welterweights are Griffith, Napoles, Hearns, Benitez, Palimino, and Rodriguez. Hope that I didn't leave anyone out that deserves to be here. People here are welcome to add their own lists here. Time restrictions are not necessary.

funny this should come up i did an all time great list the other day for a mate's site and it was as follows for midlde and welter
thats debatatable i have him at three as requested my top ten middles at present are as follows:

sorry its not post 45 but still of some relevance.

probs not spot on but as i read more ill probably get more names and change my opinion to incliude some not mentioned.

Yes. After thinking about it, I would put Napoles in my top 5 making it a top 6. Maybe number 3.
