Lows: As a thanks for helping her through uni Girlfriend took me to Vegas for Hatton v Pacman. She where distraught. XXX$ two tickets for 2 rounds.
Seeing RJJ destroy his legacy is car crash tragic.

Highs: Strangely same fight Hatton v Pacman, as I got to see a legend.
Also Hatton v Kosta, Froch outboxing Abraham in a style that could extend his career. Khan v Maidana, Lewis v Tyson.

Bomber Graham`s losses to Jackson and Brewer were painful to watch. He was doing so well in both of them.

As was Bruno getting beaten from pillar to post by Bonecrusher Smith in the final round, for his first defeat was a bad one. His 11th round capitulation to Witherspoon is also up there.

Seeing Ali against Holmes and Tyson v McBride didn`t made me feel pretty average as well. Two legends reduced to ridicule is never pretty.

As for highs, there are too many really but the standouts have to be MaQuigan v Pedrosa, Honeygan v Curry, Benn v McClellan,Froch v Taylor, Hagler v Hearns and Hagler V Mugabi (he showed the world was the middleweight daddy)

Honeygan Vs Vacca - Such a sh!tty way to lose the title

Tyson Vs Douglas - I just loved Mike at that point and was so gutted when he got ko'd.

Eubank Vs Collins - Chris was a favourite of mine and couldn't believe he'd lost.

Lennox Vs Mcall 1 - Couldn't believe it and knew full well he'd be frozen out of the heavyweight picture for some time by Don King and the Americans

Howard Eastman Vs Joppy - had the title in the palm of his hand and blew it

Highs
Eubank Vs Watson 2 - was so pleased for Chris, shame about Watson

Benn Vs Mcclellan - best fight I ever saw.

Bruno Vs Mcall - so chuffed Frank finally won the world title.

Calzaghe Vs Lacy - shut so many yanks up

Calzaghe Vs Hopkins - as above!
This is weird - pretty much exactly what I was gonna put - apart from Honeygan, Eastman and Eubank v Watson.
Benn v McClellan - definately best fight I've ever seen :TU:

Just wanted to add, back in 2008 I went to watch Haye v Maccarenelli at the O2. Holyfield, Calzaghe and Khan where ringside and stood up one after the other to recieve cheers and applause. Across the other side of the ring Frank Bruno was announced and nervously stood up - he recieved thunderous applause and recieved chants of "Bruno" "Bruno" for ages. He looked embarrassed and humble and even went to sit down but the chants and cheers went on and on. I had goosebumps and a big lump in my throat - it wasn't a boxing match - but a boxing high never the less!

LOWS:
Audley Harrison's indifference to the sport still sickens me. I am of the opinion that eh doesn't put the hours in the gym for his fights.

I thought Hatton could have stopped Mayweather, nut we have Mr. Cortez to thank for the no in-fighting rule.

HIGHS:
I was delighted to see Froch regain his WBC title aghainst Abraham, and the way he did it was masterful.

Haye defeating Valuev. I thought Haye stood a dcent chance of winning, but as the fight approached I looked at the fight from another angle, and I thought that Valuev's size and demensions might distract Haye.,

Highs

Hatton beating Tsyzu - Really liked both fighters and the atmosphere that night was electric!

Bruno beating McCall - As someone else said everyone loves Bruno.

Danny Williams beating Potter with a dislocated shoulder - maybe should go in my favourite fights rather than highs but the buzz I got seeing him put Potter on his arse, then stop him, with 1 hand was immense.

Neil Simpson getting off the deck three times to beat Hastings Rasani to win the Commonwealth Light Heavy Title.

Gomez silencing Arthur!!!

Hide beating Bentt as it was my first bet (and win) on a boxing match!

Lows

Hatton getting taught a lesson from PBF. I thought he would get beat but not in the manner he did.

Rich Evatt losing to Mick O'Malley up at Ryton after his immense showing against Junior Jones on the undercard of Naz and Ingle. Rumours were Evatt had had his jaw broke in an incident in a Cov boozer the week before the fight.

Eubank losing to Collins - Collins beat him mentally with all the hypnotism shite before they even got in the ring.

Mayweather KOing Hatton(£300 for me :D )

Robin Reid who at the time had never fought for a British title going over to Italy and dethroning Nardiello.

Lennox Lewis regaining the heavyweight title from Rahman after putting up with countless jibes about his sexuality he answered in the best way possible "bring ya sister, bring your mamma" and then flattened Rahman on fight night.

Frank Bruno v Oliver McCall

Lows

Robin Reids loss to Thulani Malinga.

Erik Morales defeat to Pacquiao in their third fight.

Paul Ingle who was one of my favourite fighters at the time suffering a life threatening and career ending injury in his defeat to Botile.

Hurt: Thompson -v- Eubank 1 - I'm a fan of both guys, but on this occasion I wanted Eubank to win as he was the last of those great British SMWs of the early 90s. I was so gutted when he got stopped, because he actually could have won the fight if he hadn't of let Thompson off the hook when he had Thompson stunned at one point. The rematch should never happened so soon as Eubank's eye had not healed properly.

High: Lennox Lewis -v- Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock - I told everyone who'd listen that Lewis would outpoint Ruddock & I got mocked more than a rubbish standup comedian! All people kept telling me is how could Lewis beat a guy who went 19 rounds with Tyson? :witzend:

Imagine my delight when Lewis actually did even better than I predicted & actually poleaxed Ruddock. :bag:

Forgot to add the Low of Brewer vs Graham - I watched I think it was Briggs vs Lewis shellshocked. I wasn't watching the fight from the 9th onwards I was too busy pacing around and looking at the clock (did this for the 11th and 12th of Sprott vs Harrison) - perhaps it is jinxed.

The Johnson vs Graham fight (sublime Graham performance) was on SBO.

Lows:
Tyson - SPinks...the hype was amazing; the amount of print expended was enormous and I devoured everything.....it turned out to be a total mismatch
Bruno - Tyson/Witherspoon....I so wanted FRank to win! I was young of course

Highs:
Benn - Mclellan...nothing else close in terms of excitement, emotion, and after...mixed emotion
More recently Pavlik - Taylor was just amazing.....I stayed up late, when everyone went to bed....I was so tired...but the fight was just unforgettable. Plus I won money!

highs -

Marco Antonia Barrera beating Naz. Not a Naz hater but that was a masterful performance.

Eubank v Benn 1. Amazing the way Eubank took Benn punishment and then overwhelmed him with sheer force of will and fabulous boxing.

McGuigan v Pedroza. The fight that made me fall in love with boxing

Juan Manuel Marquez v Pacquiao 2 - best fight i've seen live although I think JMM was robbed

lows

Barrera being brought in as a sacrifice for Khan, pumped up to lightweight to fight someone naturally big at his weight and past his best - had taken Pacman 12 competitive rounds not long before but at Super Feather. Especially the way the fight ended - just a sad night

McGuigan v Cruz

Eubank v Collins both times, Calzaghe and Thompson too. Was gutted to see Eubank unable to really fight again after the Watson tragedy. Never the same fighter and understandably so. Was fantastic at his peak and would have crushed Calzaghe and Collins (IMHO) pre-Watson.

Marquez v Floyd - total mismatch because of the weight issue and JMM shouldn't have been humiliated like that.

Another Low was Eubank two fights with Thompson - particularly the second one. Great fights, but sad way for Eubank to end his career - stopped for the first time in a fight he just needed to coast to win.

Nasty swelling of course, but I'm convinced Eubank would have survived.
