Highs:
Haye v Mormeck - The french fellas sitting next to me were loving it too and thank god because they were absolute meat heads
Hatton v Tszyu - As everyone said the atmosphere was electric
Froch v Pascal - What a war, i was jetlagged and feeling crappy but this brought me back to life
Hatton v Castillo - First time in Vegas & everything clicked
Lows:
Watching Enzo get up on Wobbly legs and get smacked again on the Mag 7 card
Khan v Salita - awful match up
Any fighter being administered oxygen in the ring when in attendance

Hatton v Pacquiao. Absolutely stunned me to see Hatton's chin disintegrate like that.
Froch v Kessler: was agonizing to see Kessler slowly but surely take the fight away from Froch, especially after Froch had confused him so much early on.

Re: What defeat hurt most as a fan? Which win d'ya enjoy most?
Lows:
Was devastated to see Steve Robinson hammered by Hamed, and the arrogant way he did it. I warmed to Hamed as a fighter later and believe he was a phenomenal talent, but on that night I despised him and was gutted for Steve.
Lewis losing to Rahman. That KO was brutal, and it sent shockwaves all over the world. I remember being stunned.
Lewis draws with Holyfield. Stayed up until the early hours and managed to get a few non-boxing fans at university to stay up too. They were as shocked as I was. A real low night for boxing.
Moore losing to Rhodes. End of.Great fighter, personal favourite, sorry to see him hang up his gloves.
Benn losing to Eubank. At the time Benn was my hero, and to see him fall into Steele'sarms when it was stopped brought a lump to my throat as a 13 year old boy getting into the sport.
Sat at Terry D's house with MattW watching Hatton get spanked by Floyd. We were all running on empty having been to the Wigan bill beforehand. We gave Ricky a chance, but it slipped away after a promising start. The highlight of that night was Terry's dog Marvin :)
Highs:
Calzaghe's dismantling of Lacy. Watching the hype stripped away with a beer in my hand at a little pub in Wales was a terrific feeling, a brilliant performance
Bruno taking the title vs McCall. Shite fight, he hung on in the end and the feeling afterwards was lovely.
Eubank v Thompson 2. Seein it stopped, Eubank's eye had blown up the size of a ball. Such a shame for him to go out like that. Two great battles between the two of them. Felt sorry for Chris, but was good to see Carl get some well-deserved credit.
Woods v Hoye: Quite an upset at the time. Clinton was great that night and we watched it live on the BBC. Those were the days.

Most of mine have already been mentioned including highs;

Lewis vs Anyone who he beat once he was world champion
Naz finally losing (liked his boxing skills but hated everything else)
Froch vs Pascal
Froch vs Taylor
Benn vs Eubank
Lows include
Hatton vs Mayweather (still think he would of done better if he wasn't annoyed and frustrated with the ref)
Lewis losing to Rahman
Froch losing to Kessler
and any fight that is clearly been stopped too early or any fight that has ended in tragedy

He was as good as gold mate, you must have had too many brandy snaps :)
Was that the night Vuma beat Thompson?

That's right, I remember there was a disappointing result at Wigan...poor old Ali, Watson was a real force that night.

Re: What defeat hurt most as a fan? Which win d'ya enjoy most?
When you are a kid and you first get into boxing and you emotionally attatch yourself to a fighter and their fortunes and thats when you are disappointed the most or enthralled. So for me, it would be:
Lloyd Honeygan RTD 6 Don Curry - Curry was reckoned to be the best fighter in the world at time - even superior than Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Michael Spinks, Sot Chitalada, Miguel Happy Lora and a slew of really good fighters - Honeygan battering him like that was amazing.
Fidel Bassa W RSF 13 Dave McAuley - though I was rooting for Dave and he lost, it was probably the second greatest fight in this country after Benn-McClellan - Bassa was a fine boxer and McAuley was tough and brave so even though the wrong man won I was enthralled with it.
Najib Daho W KO 1 Pat Cowdell - a really good fighter and to be honest Daho wasn't in his class but Daho went balls to the wall and had him down three times (if my memory serves me correctly) whilst Dahos mates invaded the ring - Najib got a world title shot against Barry Michael on the back of it.
Defeats
Barry McGuigan vs Bernard Taylor - Bernard Taylor should have been world champion - makes me sick that some of these fighters today can walk around and call themselves 'world champion' when Bernard Taylor can never claim to be one. Taylor was kicking Barry McGuigans ass - wasn't an unlucky defeat - Barry caved his ribs in but I remmeber seeing Bernard Taylors class. If he had been born 20 years later...
Bruno vs Tyson II - Cried when he lost to Tyson - all those Brits over there to cheer him on. He had a go but Tyson was too quick.
Hearns vs Andries - Cried here too - I was a kid though but was amazed by Dennis Andries pure guts and bottle. The ref was wearing a pistol and holster for some reason. Probably because he took Tommy Hearns nickname of 'the Detroit hit man' too literally.
Hearns vs Roldan - Juan came to rumble and after listening to him and his corner belt out the Argie national anthem I thought 'Juan is gonna do him' as he was floored in the first and Juan Roldan was banging the canvas in frustration - I was doing it to my bedroom floor.
Don Curry vs Colin Jones - just thought Jones might have been able to land his left hook it might have changed the course of the fight but Curry sliced him up.. and one more... no two more..
Breland vs Honeygan - you could see Lloyd wasn't up for it that night and took a hiding against a fighter he would have hammered three years previously.
and
Sumbu Kalambay vs Herol Graham oh and
Danny Williams vs Mark Potter - told everyone that Potter was going to bash Williams up and he was thisclose!
Every time I see the fight on youtube - I just pray for the different (right) ending but it never ever happens - arggggggggggggh! ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)
Now I'm older and I don't emotionally attach myself to fighters anymore - I don't not give a toss.

most painful:
stefy bull vs scott lawton - i am from the same village as stefy and have been a fan since i was a kid this was a big chance for stefy to get the english title then maybe go on to get a shot of his dream the british... i was devastated when the reff stopped this one after a good first few rounds things turned for the worse i was gutted!
hatton vs pbf - i am a hatton fan and closer the fight got there more i thought ricky had a chance i was gutted with the result
most enjoyed:
jamie mcdonnell vs ian napa - i know jamie and have followed his career since he turned pro after losing two close decisions which i thought he won was abit harsh on the lad he didnt really have nowhere to go at the time then after a few wins he gets the british title shot i was over the moon for the it was a close fight and it was about time he got the decision after getting robbed twice his self!
jamie mcdonnell vs jerome arnould - after about 7-8 weeks after the napa fight he went straight into this fight for the european title and after reading the boxing news and on all the forums there wasn't really anyone giving jamie a chance but he went to the frenchmans home town and did a number on him this fight gives me goosebumps everytime i see it it was amazing how he just broke the heart of arnould and dominated the fight then got the stoppage!
oscar dela hoya vs ricardo mayorga - loved how dela hoya just smashed this total prick to bits

Highs: benn/McClellan
Benn was my favourite fighter and I watched this one with about 10 friends who all laughed me out the room for thinking benn would win,I had the last laugh,in hindsight the fights a low because of what happened to gman, awesome fight
Arthur/gomez
put £100 on gomez at 4/1 so that was a great high, awesome fight too
Williams/Tyson
watched this in a bar in cancun with 2 mates and about 100 Americans, the 3 of us were jumping round shouting for danny and the rest of the bar were hissing at us supporting Tyson, great night danny done us pround, knew mike was shot to hell but still felt like a great win given the enviroment we were in
lows: every fight benn lost plus all the fights I've watched down the years as a neutral and seen a robbery take place on the scorecards

Bomber Graham against both Jackson and Brewer. Title right in his grasp. Was at the Brewer fight, and just remember watching the Lewis/Briggs fight in a daze. Couldn't believe Bomber lost.
