Blimey, you go away from Boxrec for a few days and return to find Ian out-Spuding Spud in the Touchy F*cker stakes!

Oh, and  and :TU: and  and :OhYes: and :oo and  and :> and a Dale Hutchinson reference to show that it's only a bit of gentle ribbing. :)

Should be a decent fight. Wouldn't Gavin/Lomax be top of the bill though, title or no title?

Sorry, but what the fornicate? It's possible for a commonwealth title bout NOT to be sanctioned? When did that happen?

That sort of implies that there is some form of "governing body" with the power to "approve" such matches??? When did this happen?

For me, the former. For everyone else in the world, the latter

You're still saying the piece had little news value - but you've already said elsewhere you didn't understand the value of the story because you had been out of the loop. 'Trust me', for about 18 minutes and for the 13 people in the country who were in that loop, it was hot stuff!

Anyway, yes, let's agree to disagree.
OK. :TU: I'll try to avoid taking my girlfriend away for a couple of days in future, in case I miss any more "hot" items on the BoxRec rumour mill. Or maybe someone could set up an SMS alerts service for those times when I just can't get online and no titles are vacated, no extra titles are attached to a fight, a fight isn't cancelled and television coverage isn't pulled. 8)

Note the heaping dose of emoticons to hopefully remove any ambiguity about my playful tone. :P

PS Charlie Zelenoff has set up his own sanctioning body, the WUBO (I'm actually serious). It's not too late for Sky to call him for sanctioning approval, and although it's too late for him to fly over with a belt to give the winner, they could just do what he did and buy one off Amazon for $30.

LOL- gotta feel for poor McDermott, because again, bad luck means he now isn't the commonwealth champ!

Maybe he can challenge Chisora after Klitschko finishes with him.
