Should the Cleverly / Bellew fight have gone ahead at CW?
Should the Cleverly / Bellew fight have gone ahead at CW?
i personally think both fighters would have been equally disadvantaged and so it was in neithers favour if this had gone ahead at catchweight....
bellew hadn't been training and had drained to try to get to the LHW limit...
cleverly would be giving away a bit of weight.

No, the fight was for the WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT title.

as Clev was awarded the title anyway, I think a catch weight of no more than 12 stone 11 pounds would have been a better event that the one that's going ahead -if Bellew could have made that.

No, it wouldn't have been fair on Clev who had been preparing for it for months. Bomber was involved for less than 24 hours, it wouldn't have been right to change the goalposts for him.

Why should Cleverly bow down to anyone after putting in god knows how many weeks in the gym to fight at LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT for the German not to turn up..Anyone who says yes is either deluded or a Scouser
(no offence meant to my scouse buddys)

No way, safety first - this fight can be made down the line and will be much better for it

NO, Cleverly prepared for a fight at Light Heavyweight not Cruiserweight.
