He should have lost to Briggs it should be said, but Briggs fought lazy as always, and Jameel won even though he fought scared. Truth is both Jameel and Whitaker are pretty average guys considering their size, and not worth debating the difference.
they won´t be future champions

Come on. McCline beat Whitaker and lost in a close fight for the IBF title. That is a level above Whitaker just look at the guys I posted above who Whitaker has been fighting. They are 'D' level heavyweights at best.
Why was Whitaker #1 WBO and Top 5 in all other organisations? I didn´t put him there. I never ranked him in my Top Ten. He was talked up by the Americans. That´s all. Like a lot of other guys. What´s up with Golota. Is he even Top 30? He had for nothing 3 title fights in a row....
Mario Veit was #1 WBO - say no more.

He was a Top Ten boxer, even on boxrec Ratings. Maybe he still belongs to a Top Ten, he will box in September.

OK, Mger Mkrthcan or whatever his name is. He was a WBO #1!

The WBO's ratings are the worst of all the sanctioning bodies, some of their mandatories have been beyond a joke.

One look at Sicknotes record tells all.

No doubt about it but I dont think you need to pay the WBO. Who exactly would have backed McCrotchan he has no money behind him. Their ratings are just shite.

IMO it has a lot to do with their favourite promoters.

It is ridiculous to rate Valeuv as a top 5 heavyweight. He has only beaten Etienne and nobody thought Etienne was top 5. We are yet to see Valeuv tested. I think he will prove to have suspect stamina and suspect chin. He's not a skilled fighter either but does a good job of holding one arm out to keep his opponent from getting in close while he jabs with the other. He doesn't seem to have any KO power, he seems to just jab his opponents into submission.

I guess before passing judgement we should provide our own 10. This is my idea of the leading heavies based on actual achievement, rather than my thoughts on their potential:

V Klitschko
Byrd
Brewster
Toney
Ruiz
Barrett
Rahman
W Klitschko
Krasniqi
Brock

Barret, Brock and Whitaker have the same level, Rahman is not much better.....Viva los Estades Unidos..... :o

That is hypothetical Bubi, who knows who could beat him, just because we might think Valuev MIGHT beat someone, doesn't make it so.

Valuev hasn't even beaten a top 10 fighter, so how can he be top 5?

Who has Byrd beaten lately? Or Barret, Ruiz, Toney or even V.Klitschko?

They have all beaten quality opponents in their time while Valeuv hasn't. Just because a guy can beat poor opposition, it doesn't mean he should be ranked higher than more accomplished fighters. Yeah he might have potential to well but he needs to prove it before he gets a decent ranking.

Barret has lost vs Whitaker, Baby Mesi and Wladi and his best win vs the american version of Harrison, Owen Beck. He should be Top Ten then?
