Well with the Super Six tournament, the Super Middleweight landscape changes frequently.

As of the moment, the big fight is Froch vs Ward and whoever wins that will be the Number One of the division.
Outside of the Super Six, it looks like Bute will be defending his title against Kessler. (Kessler wins in my opinion)>

If Froch lses to Ward, Kessler won't want him because Froch will have lost his world title. Kessler will then target Ward.

Either way, after Ward I think Carl has 3/4 fights left.

Nah, I think if Ward beats Froch then Kessler and Ward will face each other - it will be mandated. Ward will be WBC champion, Kessler is Champion Emertius - plus Kessler will want revenge.

Andre Ward looks overated and it might just be that I'm not taking to his style. He had the Kessler win but thats 'clouded' - butts everywhere and Kessler looked very flat - Kessler didn't look himself that night. Would love to see a rematch. Ward not done much since then.

Froch has done well by travelling but his performances haven't been Great. Losing to a faded Jermain Taylor then getting the KO, not knowing how to deal with the inexperienced Andre Dirrell (a fight many gave to Dirrell), losing in an exciting fight to Kessler (the right man won), beating the found out Abraham and now an old, slow, seemingly weight drained Johnson.

The names on paper look impressive but dig deeper and it ain't so great IMO.

Ward will beat Froch. Ward knows his own style while Carl doesn't.

If Froch wins the Super 6 it will most likely be Bute next in a mega fight. After that a rematch with Kessler if he doesn't lose in the meantime and then Hopkins or Pascal depending on what they've achieved.

If he loses to Ward we could get the Kessler rematch immediately in order to get back on track and he could then continue with bouts against the likes of Hopkins, Pascal or even Pavlik. If Ward were to lose to Bute and Froch beat Kessler that would be a natural fight too.

i think you sum it up very well right there.

To me if it werent for contractual repurcussion and being blackballed by a tv network again......it almost makes sense for froch to quit the super 6 right now as the moral victor!!

After all guys like dirrel and ward played the system.

Lets face it ward stinks out any fight and froch could make more money for a european football stadium war with kessler. He could make more fighting pavlik in youngstown ohio and you bet your arse he would make more fighting bute in canada

and i havent even considered bernard hopkins or pascal if he can pick up some kind of title!

I see froch beating ward but even carl will have his work cut out putting on a show with a stinker like ward

The Ward fight is no gimme. He will fight Kessler i reckon win or lose vs Ward. Even if he loses that i think he could still get a fight with Bute. Let's face it as long as it's in Canada Bute will fight anybody.

my opinion is that win or lose vs ward his next fight will be in nottingham , if he wins he will fight kessler if he has beaten or been in a close competitive fight with bute , he would then imo ladly travel to montreal afterwards to take on bute , ive said all along that froch will beat ward but im maybe being taken in by the ward hype as it now seems a harder fight than i thought , ive not seen ward fight too often and from what i have seen i havent been too impressed , maybe i should stick to my instinct rather than listen to people on here ...... but theres some pretty knowledgable people on here who opinions cant be ingnored really , i guess we will see later in the year , im guessing around november .

Mikkel Kessler (rematch of cracking, close first fight)
Lucien Bute (Match up of 2 top 3 SMWs)
Andre Dirrell (Less attractive than above, but has legs as a rematch when Andre returns)
Kelly Pavlik (Two exciting fighters would do good business at Atlantic City)
Jean Pascal (rematch of cracking, close first fight)
Bernard Hopkins (Potential to be man who makes B-Hop old has to be appealing)
Chad Dawson, Tavoris Cloud (Good, tough LHW matches)
Nathan Cleverly (Homecoming fight for a world title at a second weight)
and towards the end of 2 years there are George Groves and James DeGale who will hopefully have improved and developed into world class by that time.

Yes. Andre Ward has the exact same options as Froch. I'm surprised people are mentioning Pascal as a possible opponent for Froch, why is he? Carl beat him convincingly and he holds no title anymore, a pointless fight unless he wins something again.

No one wants to see Ward - Kessler again, Ward - Dirrell won't happen while they are best buddies, Ward v Cleverly, Degale, Groves has zero US appeal, Ward seems quite small for a SMW so I can't see him stepping up any time soon. So actually his options are quite limited - Pavlik, Froch rematch, Bute and maybe Peter Quillin, but its all a bit sparse after that.

Why cannot this become reality? 3 fights per year with a month off after each fight. Just over 2 years. He is 33 now and in his prime with no signs of fading. 7/8 fights I say !!!
