Sounds like good fun mate! Just need to get tomorrow out of the way at work now and then Germany here we come!!Crazyboy wrote:Wer are doing the same thing but flying in from Gatwick to Hannover. The German trains are awesome as well.SteveDow wrote:Truly cannot wait for this now. Flying out on Friday morning into Hannover from Heathrow and then train into Hamburg. Staying at Radisson Blu. Going with the mrs but should still be awesome.
Will take it fairly easy Friday but from about 3pm on Saturday will be hitting the beers big time! Anyone know any decent bars near the Imtech Arena??
One of the lads i'm going with is a Fulham fan (stay with me here) and because of last seasons euro exploits he actually went to Hamburg a few times. he says there are 2 very big boozers near the ground that you can't miss and are great but get absolutely rammed before games (so we presume fights) but thats where most people will go anyway.
He knows a few others that are close but a bit more 'off the beaten track' shall we say lol i'll try and get the names but there is one where you walk through a bookies to get to a bar attached to it haha
Hopefully see a few Boxrecers out there anyway

What time is the main event on and is the undercard worth binning the boozer off for? Just curious as to what time people are aiming to get to the stadium?
Re: Haye V Klitschko - what are your plans for the night?
hey mate, there are 4 fights i think on the undercard, most people are saying maybe about 10:30pm for the main fight. I'm a bit disappointed in the undercard but you know what, who cares, its all about tha main event and you never know, some undercard fights can surprise youtannervegas wrote:What time is the main event on and is the undercard worth binning the boozer off for? We are going to get to the area around the arena for about 8:30ish and see what happens around the ground, soak in the atmosphere lol. If most people have gone inside we'll probably do the same as i do want to watch as much boxing as poss.
Can't believe there are so many fans out there from Uk, gonna be awesome.

Just ordered the fight by automated service, then rang up Sky to confirm the order. Can't wait for this!

How many of you will be doing your Teddy Atlas-style fight tactics role plays with your mates on Saturday Night?
Debating the rigour fr Jim Watt's, Jonny Nelson, McGuigan or Hatton's gameplans over many beers! 8) That Beyond the Ropes documentary was good, it really whets the appetite more for this - I cant wait for Saturday night!

Oh, happy days! Bought Flaming Lips ticket months ago before the fight was announced, going with other half, gutted when fight date announced. Neighbours b'day Saturday, husband saying how he'd love to get his wife a ticket for Flaming Lips but sold out, she gets on well with mine, a deal was struck, top!

Re: Haye V Klitschko - what are your plans for the night?
Anyone know of any good bars/clubs in central London that are showing the fight? I watched Haye-Maccarinelli at the Sports Cafe on Haymarket, but they didn't have the sound on and I was about the only person interested, so I'm wondering if there's somewhere better?
