Ch5 coverage
Now i'm happy that boxing is on CH5, but no undercard fights shown!!
Other than that, the commentary team was good.

Re: Thank you Channel 5
I thought the production was very good. I hope they keep the same small team.

Re: Thank you Channel 5
The intro was nearly 30 mins, that's my only complaint. The rest was alright in my view, practice makes perfect though Desmond!!
Re: Thank you Channel 5
Apart from a lack of undercard(though that could have been beyond their control, who knows) I thought it was spot on. Fair play to them and hopefully we'll see a bit more boxing on 5.

Very impressed with all aspects of the production especially the commentary. It's nice to watch a boxing match without having to scream at Jim Watt to shut up.
Re: Thank you Channel 5
Very pleased to watch boxing back on Ch 5 hope there is many more in the future.

Had to Google the frequency and manually tune it into the Skybox. The Dark Destroyer wrote:Do you get C5 over there? So, so true. All the Jim Watt apologists, please I hope you watched this fight tonight. It was refreshing I agree that the fight didn't have to centre around one guy's scorecard or views on the fight. I enjoyed it tonight and I think C5 did a great job. I can only hope they get more involved and provide us with a real alternative to Sky.Deno1986 wrote:Very impressed with all aspects of the production especially the commentary. I think the vast majority of Tyson Fury's future fights will be on terrrestial as they won't have sky in prison will they?
Re: Thank you Channel 5
Yeah, I enjoyed the fight. Standard wasn't the best but exciting all the same. The Dark Destroyer wrote:Deno1986 wrote:Had to Google the frequency and manually tune it into the Skybox. The Dark Destroyer wrote: Do you get C5 over there? Or did you watch a stream?![]()

Watt would have described that as embarrassing for a british title fight - and he'd be right.Bennyblanco wrote:Take note Jim Watt
It may have been exciting in parts to watch but it was a guy with zero technique vs a guy who was so unfit and uninterested it was dreadful.
As for C5 overall it was a good effort but at least some undercard highlights would have been good.

You do though, learnt that the hard way
Re: Thank you Channel 5
Good show was nice and slick and a god advertisement for the sport. Maybe not necessarily the best boxing on show but it was certainly entertaining! ![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)

Add my agreement to this thread. Production was good, Commentary team superb, Bernstein is the man. So good to not have commentators who are in the pocket of the promoter and calling a fight right down the middle. And the fight was a pretty decent, competitive, domestic scrap. Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's show and hopefully a bit of healthy competition may make sky buck up their ideas too.
