I am well aware of when weigh ins take place mate. I've attended them in the UK and Vegas before now.

It doesn't occur to you that Warren might want to work with channel 5 in the future? Wake up mate.

It must be. A massive cock that thinks Chisora trained hard for the fury fight, and that his promoter has some sort of mystical power over him.

The money for that fight came from Hennessy Sports. That's the reason Chisora got in the ring - nothing to do with his own promoter. It was a mandatory defence of the belt (ordered by the BBBoC) and he would have been stripped if he didn't fight Fury.

If Allegedly upset Channel 5, he'd be even more of a dickhead than Johnny Cucumber, which he isn't.

I'm just giving you the facts. You think I'm lying, go check. I don't really give a toss what you think, you're clearly just an irritating little worm. Funnily enough I've already had a PM from someone else here saying how pointless it is arguing with you, I can see why.

You are the one who started giving it the billy big balls, calling everyone clueless for saying Chisora was in bad shape. A theory which you alone seem to ascribe to, and with little to support it, except that you believe that his tactics were to lumber around the ring throwing 5-10 shots a round in the vain hope he would knock fury out.

Maybe you should train Chisora for his next fight, seeing as you are such a master tactician.

Actually, I'm sure you couldn't get anything published paid or unpaid. I've done it for free, and I've been paid. Maybe you could scrawl something on a toilet wall for free. Someone would only clean it off.

You came on here claiming 99% of what I write is bollix. Well, clearly a lot of others don't agree with you. It amazes me you've had time to read everything I've posted on here over the last 7 years. You must be a fan.

I'm beginning to wonder whether you have some sort of man crush on me.

That would only be boasting, wouldn't it? I'm not a wannabe anything mate. I do a bit of writing as a hobby still, but time was when I was keen on making a profession of it. I realised however, that the money you make simply isn't enough to live on, unless you're writing for one of the broadsheets, and those gigs only come up when someone drops dead.

I've been published in national print, and I've got a book out, which is still available in major bookstores and on amazon. If I could be arsed, I'm pretty sure I could get something again in one of the boxing publications, but, for the money they offer, and the effort it takes, I'd rather just have my own column in electronic media. Which incidentally pays a pittance, but I have total freedom to write about whatever I wish. I am sure Ian McNeilly can confirm that making a living from boxing writing alone, is rather a pipe dream for most of us.

That doesn't make my opinion any more valid than anyone elses, but the assertion that 99% of what i write is drivel, clearly isn't true. I don't know what your problem is really, coming on here slating anyone who doesn't agree with your contentious viewpoint.

I hate to be a pedant, but it was you who called someone 'clueless' because they asserted that Chisora was in poor shape. I'd say that constitutes being offensive at the least, if not abusive.

Most of the posters on this board are lifelong boxing fans, and have a lot more knowledge than the average sports fan. Calling people clueless when you've only made few posts yourself, and you are choosing to contend something which flies in the face of the general consensus of opinion (which is your right), is likely to garner you a good deal of ire from other board members. That's not to say this is some sort of private members club, it isn't, but don't be surprised when you provoke an adverse reaction.

It's not a bad read. There's nowt earth shattering in there, just the story of one man's life in boxing, but it's all his words (give or take a little artistic licence on the bits where he wasn't so vocal), and told in the manner of the man himself.

I'd like to do another book, I've an idea for another subject, but waiting for him to retire first.

Truth is, there's not a lot of money in it. Boxing books don't sell that well, even the ones by prominent fighters. It's more a labour of love than anything else. Unless you are one of a handful like Hauser to pen a successful book (in his case books) about Ali, you ain't selling shit.

Magri visited my school when i was a kid, not long after the Mercedes fight - something to do with healthy eating. Needless to say he was mobbed.

Does he still run a pub?

No he lost the pub, brewery took it back as it wasn't doing too well. Lost touch with Charlie when he changed his mobile number, and then heard he didn't have the pub, I don't know what he's doing, but last I heard a chap who posts on here sometimes called Daniel Coyne told me Charlie was back doing demolition work.

A real shame, Charlie was a dynamite little fighter, and had he been better advised should have been set up for life. His world title shot came a bit late for Magri, he peaked quite young, but his management didn't want him getting the title shot as he would start demanding more money.

Interestingly, according to Magri the biggest payday he ever received in his entire career, was from a young allegedly, who promoted his fight with Sot Chitilada. Lawless was still managing Magri, but refuse to negotiate on his behalf.

I think that was the last time Margri and Terry Lawless ever saw eye to eye. After he retired, Magri and Lawless never spoke again until the day Lawless died. I think Charlie was tinged with sadness about his career, and about the way his relationship with Lawless panned out.

Christ, it went off on here last night!

Whilst i'm not convinced Chisora trained his nuts off for this fight, I don't think the end result would have been any different. Seeing how much Tyson has improved made a mockery of the 50/50 tag beforehand. Fury was ready for whatever was coming his way, Chisora probably made it easier for Fury than he should have. That said, we have seen extra bulk play it's part in heavyweight fights before.

As for price, I don't think he's the man to spoil the party. The right hand will be a danger but Fury knows when to up his game and will do so if Price and Maloney are prepared to step up to the plate. Knocking over fat europeans, losing journeymen, sparring partners and a contender Fury dealt with over a year ago when still a novice isn't ideal preperation for a highly charged young heavyweight like Fury IMO.

Do you work for Hennessy? Your very biased towards Fury. So far Tyson Fury has beaten a big fat lazy Dereck Chisora and John Mcdermott in a rematch to a fight where he got one of the worst desicions I've ever seen, Price and Fury have done everything that's been asked of them so far but neither of them has been matched particulary tough so far and rightly so they've only had 15 and 11 fights respectivley, Price has looked the better boxer and more powerful so far in there careers and he already holds an amateur win over Fury, which has to make him favourite, I see Price blasting Mcdermott out in a couple of rounds not getting beat like Fury did.

1.He has had harder build up fights - I agree with this though Price will be well prepared after McDermott
2.He can switch and Price cannot handle a southpaw - What makes you say this? Yes Fury turned southpaw but he is hardly some sort of boxing maestro
3.Fury has plenty of bottle Price does not - Completely unfounded statement
4.Fury has matured since Price beat him in the Amateurs - I agree with this but Price has certainly developed as well
5.Even if Price does a job on Mac ,Mac is past is sell by date - Bit harsh considering he just destroyed Larry O

He can switch!!!! hahaha you have got to be kidding me!!!!. Looked like my dad dancing after 10 pints!
