As Bunce said, he takes ages to get a question out, bumbles and mumbles and looks and sounds disinterested. Floyd was a dick as Merchant does know his stuff BUT he does disrespect fighters.

Floyd did not cheat, the ref called box on, he was fighting hard and smacking him round and still no respect.

Larry was dead on in not taking any of Mayweather's sh*t.

As bad as Ortiz putting his nut in was, you can sort of empathise as it was a split second reaction born out of frustration.

Mayweather's response was calculated. That's the difference for me. Ortiz did something very stupid in the heat of the moment and Mayweather did something much worse, and did so with a cool head. Scratch cool, cold blooded's more apt. He showed an ugly side to his character tonight, or this morning I should say.

You can repeat the mantra about a fighter defending themselves at all times but whichever way you cut it, it was a sucker punch, 2 sucker punches. That's a cardninal sin imo.

Oh for christ's sake. Ortiz' move was TOTALLY calculated, he even took a step back to get more momentum before putting the nut on Mayweather.

Mayweather was within the rules. How can people complain that his actions weren't 'in the spirit of the sport' when he's just been subjected to a flagrant foul. Ortiz got what he paid for, play dirty, that's what happens. Should have protected himself. All that hugging and kissing was horseshit.

Well, I can separate the boxer from the man. Let's face it, many professional fighters are hardly going to win any popularity contests. Ali was a bit of a scumbag, a womanising, racist, bigoted fool, who had the temerity to imply that Frazier and Foreman were uncle toms, men who came from serious deprivation racism, whereas he was the son of a middle class family, whose experiences were far more genteel - yet the man is lionised because he was charismatic.
