No I don't, I think Katsidis is too big for him (light welter v.s a super feather.) and too powerful.

Burns is quite a big guy too though certainly getting too big for 9st 4. Katsidis will probably start favourite and rightly so but if Burns using his boxing skills he can pull it off. Gutted it's not in Scotland mind ye.

Mate your going to be shocked when you see the size of Ricky @ Lightweight there wont be much in it at all size wise, but thee il be in the speed and skill dept, Ricky by late stoppage or clear points imo

I hope you're right Billy. Great fight to watch. IF burns can avoid the big punches i think he wins the fight easily, big IF though.

I must say, i think its the right time to fight Katsidis though, could end up very clever match making

Burns is more skillful than Katsidis and if it goes to point he will get the decision, but Katsidis is a dangerous fighter and has a chance of knocking Ricky out. I think Burns will win on points though

if burns can summon up another big effort - as with martinez - then he can win an exciting fight. i wouldn't give him too much credit, because as aguy whose held a world title he is supposed to face world class guys, and katsidis has been losing to most world class fighters, though he did demolish kevin mitchell (who is all the way back, it seems now).

hope it works out for burns. because, aside from the controversy of not facing the challenge of that guy at super feather who KO'd litzau and edged de leon, a burns win could get guys like mitchell, murray, crolla, or whatever talented british lightweight, into the mix for good reward.

better than fights with a shot cook, and commonwealth-type challengers, for certain.

shades of mitchell-prescott, getting a guy who has grown big at the weight and already decided to move up (to light welter), to come back down...katsidis may be drained and cook - perhaps gaining strength - may have some crucial extra vitality...

Katsidis is the favourite and rightly so really

best price Katsidis 8/11 with betfred

best price burns 6/4 paddy power

looking forward to it but unless Katsidis has slipped he should have too much power, Martinez shook Ricky a fair bit and Katsidis punches harder than him for me and is also a better fighter than Rocky Martinez in my view

Katsidis wins this 9 times out of 10. Burns hasn't thought any one near the calibre of Katsidis argubaly may be Martinez who put him down in the 1st.

Katsidis is relentless, and unfortunately I see Burns getting a pasting that won't last any more than 5 rounds.

I had Katsidis, Chisora and Hall all to win by stoppage on a treble that night but Hall ended up fighting Maxwell as a late replacement and i got the double i think.

I did check Oddschecker too but stopped at 5th Novemeber coz i thought that was the date of the fight but have rechecked and Oddschecker have the fight listed correctly as 12th November. My Bad!

Thanks for this though!

Katsidis via stoppage looks tasty @ 13/8 :bag:
I got on the Katsidis KO/TKO win @ 2/1 & 9/10 outright! Xmas came early.

I fancy burns to win on points - his win over martinez showed he can outbox a world class puncher.

yeah thats true martinez was number 1 in the division and a world champion and Katsidis is ranked 15th and never held a major title.

Well burns should win easily then.

Can`t wait for this, just brought my ticket.I hope Burns can pull this off,but it will be a tough ask.Groves should beat Smith hopefully, but i think Smith could put in a career best performance to make it interesting.

Yeah of course he should :o Take a look at the Martinez record and then Katsidis's and come back and spout the same shíte. Who cares about rankings and titles with so many available.

The Aussie will walk straight through him, the same way he did with Kevin Mitchell.

I dont need to look at their records - Katsidis has been in the ring with some great fighters - and been beaten by them all. Beating Kevin Mitchell doesnt impress that many people world wide. Martinez was a bonafide world champion an the divisions number 1. I think its fair to put the two in the same league as each other.

Blue highlight = sarcasm!

Is this fight on November 12th or November 5th. On Frank Warrens website (well the original allegedly announcement) it says 5th - yet on here, on many betting sites it has it down as 12th.

Anyone ITK?

lets be honest FW wouldnt be making the fight if he thought he was going to loose he's not going to risk his world champion. Although it didnt help in the mitchell fight but he did then admit he had hardly trained and had never operated at world class levels.

Like someone said above, I've got a feeling this might be a good time to fight Katsidis. At least its a meaningful fight.
