Great work by Eddie 'The Gorgeous One' Hearn (so far), Kell needs to look good on Saturday to help raise his profile.

Khan says he wants to fight Petersen, then have a fight at 147 before fighting Floyd. Surely that fight has to be against Kell Brook!!
I agree with your logic but i would be absolutely staggered if Amir v Kell ever got made.

I've (bizarrely) got faith that both fighters want it. Kell certainly does as it'd be a MASSIVE chance to propel himself up the Legend ladder and I'm impressed with Khans matchmaking skills of late. The only problem I see is IF Khan thinks it's too BIG a risk with Floyd waiting in the wings
What the feck has Kell Brook ever done to deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Amir Khan let alone Pacman and Mayweather as he himself keeps telling people he wants to fight soon.

The guy isn't a prodigy of any kind and he's fought limited opposition so far and this Rafal Jackiewicz is another average opponent to add to his collection. Let's see him fight someone good first like Mike Jones, Jan Zaveck, Victor Ortiz, Randall Bailey, Selcuk Aydin or Brad Solomon and then we'll see what he's all about.

Just on a side note i was surfing Eastsideboxing and found a thread about Kells Family where they were talking crap, without going all Jeremy Kyle i'm almost sure his father is his biological father due to their resemblance in nose, mouth and eyes and it's his mother that's his step mother.

Watch the clip from 6mins 15 sec.

I agree that the argument of whether Amir should box Kell only becomes relevant if Kell wins the 147 title.

As for your tasteful speculation about Kell's family i suggest you probably ought to keep that stuff to yourself mate, not sure personal things like that have any relevance or interest whatseover to boxing fans on a forum.

Went to Kell's last fight against N'Dou and thought he looked good and enjoyed the show but for £40 where's the value when there's only a couple of average fights to support? Not even a support fight and only 6 rounders which is a poor show. For that type of line-up 20 quid would be more than enough to charge.

Jackiewicz looks like he's improved over the years and his SD win over Zaveck looks good on paper but he's also been beaten by Bami and Jennings who are hardly class acts! Glad I couldn't go this weekend as the show looks pretty poor. Kell to win inside the distance IMO
You did not go to no last fight of Kells. As there is no £40 tickets at Kells shows as yet. they are priced at £30-£50-£80 ringside.

TYPO! I meant £30. But nice to know you think you know every person that goes to a kell show. Guessing you work in some variety for the Brook stable? Is so, best of luck and kell stoppge r8. Still poor card IMO

Oisin Fagan - comeback fight, no problem there
Barrera - ageing featherweight
Kotelnik - light-puncher, one paced, made for Amir
Salita - no explanation necessary
Malignaggi - light-puncher, best days behind him
Maidana - good puncher, admittedly, but a moderate fighter who IN HIS NEXT FIGHT prob lost to Morales (65yrs old) - and another one who is sloooowww of foot and hand
McCloskey - domestic / euro level fighter
Judah - faded force but admittedly a danger in his day

Now i am not saying Amir is crap - far from it. And obviously for a combination of reasons he's boxed FAR better opponents than Kell. But when you look at that list you realise that Amir hasn't beaten one top opponent at the peak of their game. He is being very carefully matched. Just look at the latest example - he talks about Mayweather, signs to fight Peterson!

For his homecoming fight at 147, the hype will be Kell Brook but the reality will be Matthew Hatton. I expect Amir will always have an excuse not to box Kell just like Hatton's brother always had an excuse not to box Junior.
Don't forget that Bradley chose to run from Amir.

Serious question, though - didn't i read somewhere that BRadley is tied up in litigation? Bradley has a track record for taking tough fights (Peterson, Alexander) and i cant see why he'd run from Amir.

You're obviously a Khan hater judging by that list of his opponents and your comments which are a joke. Kell hasn't been in with anyone as good as Kotelnik, Maligianni or McCloskey let alone Judah and Maidana.

As for Bradley, he was free to fight Khan in July and had been told by Gary shaw he would be a free agent after the fight but he feared losing to Amir and therefore not being signed by Toprank so he ducked him. Bradley is everything wrong with boxing nowadays wheras Khan is a true warrior as after all he was willing to lay it all on the line against Timmy and a loss would have been even more damaging to his career in America.

I agree that Kell hasn't boxed at that level - i've already said that!

I am not a Khan hater at all. I'm a Khan realist. Tell me which points i make about Amir's opponents are a 'joke'.

And i'm sorry but Amir is not a 'true warrior'. Carl Froch is a true warrior. Amir is a fine fighter, definitely world class and arguably the best 140 in the world. But as i have said above, he has NEVER boxed anybody who was a top class fighter in their prime. Froch - Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham. THAT is the resume of a 'true warrior'.

Get out of here with your Froch is a True warrior and Khan isn't bollocks. Carl is 34 and coming to the end of his career which will probably be when Ward beats him wheras Khan is 24 and just coming into his prime years and has already achieved comparable achievements to Froch.

It's also laughable that you list Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler and Abraham as being alot better resume then Kotelnik, Maligianni, McCloskey, Judah and Maidana when in reality there's not much in it.

Have to agree with DANFOSTER, the only fighter who was on the slide(and this was only apparent with hindsight),on Frochs resume was Taylor. I do believe Khan has a warriors mentality but also is still extremely fragile imo. His tools have been sharpened to such a degree that the kids he's facing at the moment just cant expose him but sooner or later some1 will catch up with him. Although Brook just dont have the pedigree of Khan i can see why some people rate his chances ,speed=power etc but i fear this would be a step too far any time soon for Kel, he aint no Naz and Khan aint no Steve Robinson.

I'm a huge admirer of Khan and how he's turned things around. Your point about his relatively young age is one we often forget.

But the above comment doesn't hold water, IMO. The best Khan has fought from that list is probably on the same level as the worst from Froch's one. All about opinions though.

No way

Taylor was damaged goods by the time he faced Froch and not all that to begin with.
Kessler was coming off a bad loss and was always over-rated and damaged goods by the time he beat Froch
Dirrell was green and never had a significant win before Froch and wasn't rated in the Ring Top 10 Super Middleweights yet still beat him in most peoples scorecards and hasn't done anything since.
Abraham was coming off a bad loss and always garbage anyway, won a paper title in Germany and made defences against crappy boxers then was finally exposed for what he was in the Super 6, a one dimensional plodder who only had one win at Super Middleweight and that was to the very damaged Taylor.
Pascal was green and didn't have one decent win on his record and wasn't rated in the Ring Top 10 Super Middleweights when he faced Froch and just got soundly beaten by a 65 year old man.

None of the above were reigning champions at the time they faced Froch and Taylor, Kessler and Abraham were coming off damaging losses in their last or recent fight.

whereas

Barrera - All time great who just a year or two before facing Khan gave peak Juan Manuel Marquez all he could handle and went the distance with Manny Pacqauio so wasn't as over the hill as people make out.
Kotelnik WBA World Champion at time who has never been beaten decisively before or since Khan plus his stock has gone up in the last year.
Maligianni 2 time world Light welterweight champion who was still only 29 at time Khan faced him plus he was coming off the best win of his career over Juan Diaz and was a Ring Top 10 Light Welterweight.
McCloskey Unbeaten European champion and respected technical boxer and Ring Magazine Top 10 Light Welter.
Maidana One of the most feared Boxers around when Khan beat him and rated Top 5 by Ring.
Judah IBF World Champion at the time and regarded as one of the most skilled in all Boxing who was looking his best in years at his natural weight of Light Welter

Froch has only faced fighters who were crap to begin with, still green or damaged in one way or another coming into the fight but in Andre Ward he faces his first specal fighter with Skills and who is unbeaten and a reigning World Champion so lets see how he does!

I think this is a really interesting fight for Brook, its not as straightforward as some may think. Jackiewicz is a differcult man to beat nowadays, he didn't really perform in his loss to Zaveck but still pushed him to a MD. I can see Brook starting out well and if he doesn't get Jackiewicz out early then the middle rounds getting a bit of a struggle for him, this fight will be a mental test for Brook as well.

Brook needs to work on his defence still, as i feel he shipped a few to many right hands from Lovemore Ndou in his last fight, but overall in that fight he looked good. Jackiewicz should come with a bit more ambition than Ndou had, and he won't be relying on a single shot to take Brook out, but will be looking to get into a rythum and take Brook out of his comfort zone.

Overall i think Brook will work out Jackiewicz, and come through a couple of rough moments to win a clear but close decision

Maidana, Kotelnik, Judah, and Malingaggi were all consensus top ten fighters when they faced Khan (the first three still are), and even McCloskey had a #10 ranking with The Ring, and is probably still top 15. Moreover, Khan's next bout is against Lamont Peterson, another consensus top ten opponent, and it will be held in Peterson's hometown.

Your insinuation that Khan avoids tough opponents (and more specifically Kell Brook) is laughable; he routinely fights top ranked fighters--each with different styles, strengths, and weaknesses--who have won at levels heretofore untouched by Brook.

Both Khan and Froch have some very good names on their records. Froch's opponent list is a bit better, but there's not too much in it, and Khan would have beaten a Kessler equivalent at light-welterweight, imo.

He's "almost sure" about his speculation. I'm sure he's wrong. :shame:
