Shocking opponent, atleast he is fighting 3 weeks later for Southern area title.

Hungarians are the new Latvians they seem to be on all the UK shows at the moment.

His career is certainly lagging.

Hopefully injury free, he can box a bit more often.

I always fail to understand why promoters would rather bring over and cover the expenses of a poor eastern european fighter, rather than put them in with fighters from the UK, that would love a shot against a potential up and coming star like Billie Joe. Its things like this that make me reluctant to hand over £50 + for a ticket.

I know Billy's young and has to learn his craft, but as fans that watch this, it's boring and predictable, Billy wins this, zzzzzzzzzzzz

This fight is at 160, that is his weight from now on. Most of his career has been at 168. I dont think he is clearly undersized for 160, he's not big at the weight but he will grow into it if he loses the puppy fat and gets muscle. I would like to see him down at 154 though.

Isn't it just a ticking over fight for the one a month later?

Yes, he's fighting Gary Boulden for the Southern Area Middleweight title on November 5th, undercard of Burns-Katsidis

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

Boulden is half decent, got a win over kreshnik Qato and a draw against Jeff Evans, he can't punch at all though.

Cheers mate.

So we can forgive him this one then, surely?

It's Frank's fault. This opponent will be blown out in a few rounds when in reality Billy could do with 5 or 6 against a durable opponent after being out the ring for 5 months :TU:

I don't see the problem, it's not top of the bill and he's fighting again in 3 weeks - would you rather him just not fight at all on sat then?

Why not get a tough journeyman in over 6 rounds, rather then an out of shape fatty who will role over after 1 body shot? I'm happy he's keeping busy, but not with the opponent.

I think the problem is fans don't want to see him constantly being lined up with crap to fight. He's been a pro now for what 2-3 tears, and hasn't had a realistic competetive fight.

He has one next month though, so it's a walkover or nothing. You can't expect him to take any major risks with another (better) fight in a few weeks.

Well don't stick him on the bill then, cos as i said it irritates Boxing fans and no one wants to see pointless fights like this against completely unknown Euro fighters.

Do you really feel differently? or just like to have a difference of opinion for the sake of it?

You don't speak for all boxing fans, muppet.

It irritates you and some others, while some other people think it's fine given his other fight a few weeks later. If you don't like people disagreeing with you, a forum probably isn't the right environment for you. I think it's a fairly pathetic comment you've made there, you probably realise that now yourself as you move onto some other whinging bandwagon.

I think some people like to moan and whinge for the 'sake of it'.

Unfortunately James there are certain users which you get on all forums that like nothing better than disagreeing with what appears to be the obvious opinion which is held by the vast majority. Why they do it i don't know, may be its to get noticed? every one is entitled to disagree but when it becomes a habit it is very boring.

Unfortunately for you it would appear you fall into that category. May be you can give us an insight into what leads to behaviour like this?

An obvious opinion? Why, because it's yours? Because it is that of a majority? Come on, you must be capable of better than that? Or maybe not.

How about this for an insight.... I would say it's because I'm capable of my own thoughts and of forming my own opinion. I far prefer to be in that position than to be a sheep who echoes every moan and whinge everyone else cares to make. I like Frankie Gavin and James De Gale, that causes me a few problems on here, but usually only in debate. I used to like Eubank too, but I presume that's ok now as your cherished majority also do these days. Debating doesn't mean that anyone who disagrees with me is doing so for the sake of it or that they are wrong, I don't think I'd be as vain or paranoid to suggest such a thing. It would be a bit dull if I posted and the next posts were all just X2, X3, X4 etc.

And most of the users you refer to don't post under their real name.

I've been on here a while now and have never been dragged into as many arguments as I have recently. You used to be able to debate, disagree, and move on. The good posters are diminishing. Your type are on the increase. It's a shame, whatever the 'vast majority' might think.

Happy cheerleading :yay:
