DANNY HAS PULLED OUT ONCE HOW MANY TIMES HAS FW FAILED TO DELIVER..........................MANY,GIVE DANNY A BREAK FFS

Well, to be fair Danny has pulled out of at least one other fight at late notice. Myself I don't believe for one minute Williams was "scared" of Skelton, after all he'd just been in consecutive fights with Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko. I don't know what Danny's problem is, but it's all mental, and I think it's one of self-confidence rather than fear. His ever-burgeoning weight indicates his mind cannot focus properly and believe in himself. The problem is this has all been going on since the surprise loss to Julius Francis back in 1999, and I think we've lost all interest in it ever being resolved.

I do think that his trainer Jim Mcdonell needs to sit down with him and they really have to thrash things out... the weight is a worry, I think because he did well against Tyson while being quite heavy Danny thinks the heavier he is the better... he really shouldn't be weighing over 252 imo... one of his assets used to be his speed and he didn't have that against Klitchenko.... he was too heavy for that fight.
Perhaps Danny should forget anout Skeldon and look elsewhere... if he really is serious then a good win over a fringe contender would probably do him more good than a win against Skeldon where he really has more to lose than he has to gain.
I think also Danny needs to break from Warren and find a promoter that belives in him and will put 100% into him... which I very much doubt Warren will do with Danny now. I can't see how Danny could ever fight for Warren again after everything that has been said....

I think the problem here is that we were saying the same things years ago, I'm sure many a trainer has tried to get to the bottom of Danny's problems and failed, MacDonnell included. I'm glad for Jim he had a good result last weekend with Alex Arthur though, because having to cover Danny's portly ass with excuses was beginning to affect his own credibility.

I think Jim is a good trainer but one of his problems could be that he's too nice a bloke and isn't tough enough when he needs to be. For example in the Klitchenko fight there was that guy shrieking at Danny at the same time that Mcdonnel was trying to give him instructions... Jim should have told that guy 'I'm the trainer so shut up or eff off!!!' or words to that effect.

Yeah, that was just so unproffesional imo... it wasn't just what he said (though he did say a load of tripe!) but the way he said it... screaming at a fighter in the corner when their main trainer is trying to calmly give advise is not the way to success I suspect!......

As I think Jim Watt was saying the other day, sometimes a fighter needs shouting at, maybe when he is winning but fading and in need of motivation. But when a fighter is having no success and needs answers then shouting such crap is of no use.

The worst thing was that you could sense (and see) panic in the corner... and if you're a fighter and your corner is panicing then you're really up the creek without a liferaft!...... :x

If Danny was as good as he thinks he is, he wouldn't have to be begging for a fight with Skelton.

I don't think Skelton will fight him now. He's too old to be pissing about, although i agree that Danny does deserve another chance.

Danny definetly deserves another chance, besides after what's gone on now, the fight will be even more anticipated which will bring in more money for Warren.

We might as well give him another chance, on his previous perfomances, atleast he does something in boxing!

I would still pay to watch him rather than waste my money watching the Fruad fight down & outers!

Who will buy tickets for it knowing Williams could do the same again? I think a lot of people would be put off.

You cant blame Skelton for not wanting to commit to fighting Williams again, as has been said he is no spring chicken does he want to run the risk of this happening again which will set him back?

I have said this before, but why cant Williams V Harrison be made.
Surly UK fans would like to see that & with Danny without a promoter, Audley could get some respect from people like me if he was to take this fight.

The time is now, then they can both do what the hell they want to do!
