Who Achieved The Most In The Fewest Career Fights?

Post by keithmoonhangover »

I'm talking about guys with short careers.

What Leonard did in 40 fights is pretty remarkable.

ANyone got a fighter in mind with less fights and more/equal achievements?

Leonard is on the list.

Jeffries had a short and very successful career too.

I always thought Michael Spinks did a lot in under 40 fights. Although his last fight sticks out a bit.

Yes Michael Spinks and Jim Jeffries are both legends in their own right. Spinks having only 32 professional fights and Jeffries, had I believe less than 20 fights.

Yeah Oscar almost certainly made the most money with the fewest fights...hell for that matter he's probably made more than almost any fighter period.

Jimmy McLarnin probably has the most stacked resume per number of fights.

Wesley Mouzon, not on a scale with Leonard. But his ledger was growing when his career was cut short.

Frazier stuffed a lot into a relatively career with few fights.

Jeffries has to be the winner for the most fantastically condensed career ever.

If Leonard had retired after the Hagler fight, his record would have been 34-1-0.

Considering that he lost more than 2/3 of his prime, his victims list is very impressive. Even if you don't consider that, he had a phenomenal career.

I guess Spinks is #2, Frazier would be #3 and Jeffries #4.
Another guy who had a really good career with 40 fights or less was Jeff Chandler.

Although this will be shot down, Haye didn't do too badly for a guy with less than 30 fights...

Was just about to post him.

How about Ingemar Johansson?

James Jeffries has to be the number 1

Jeffries retired after 20 or so fights. Leonard had won nothing after the same number of fights. Leonard had twice as many fights and not many more title fights.

I'm basing it on who he beat. The titles he won and how many top fighter he beat that were #1 in the division. It's just my opinion, but no doubt some people will come on here and sling insults at me for it. :o
