I always thought Michael Spinks did a lot in under 40 fights. Although his last fight sticks out a bit.

Yes Michael Spinks and Jim Jeffries are both legends in their own right. Spinks having only 32 professional fights and Jeffries, had I believe less than 20 fights.

If Leonard had retired after the Hagler fight, his record would have been 34-1-0.

Considering that he lost more than 2/3 of his prime, his victims list is very impressive. Even if you don't consider that, he had a phenomenal career.

I guess Spinks is #2, Frazier would be #3 and Jeffries #4.
Another guy who had a really good career with 40 fights or less was Jeff Chandler.

I'm basing it on who he beat. The titles he won and how many top fighter he beat that were #1 in the division. It's just my opinion, but no doubt some people will come on here and sling insults at me for it.
