Love the story, but £150 for a pro or £10 for a months boxing....now there's a quandary.
So far I think its been great value. I have my likes and dislikes in the "team" but overall a good show at least every fortnight has been delivered and good overseas action. If they continue down this road I'll happily pay the equivalant of 1 night at the cinema or 3 pints of beer.

Amazingly I think some of these have come from Steve Lillis (who should know better!):
Prior to Donaire v Narvaez:
"Narvaez has never fought outside of Argentina" (He'd fought in France and Italy)
"Should they have let Narvaez out of Argentina earlier?" (They let him out of Argentina as early as 2002)
"Can Narvaez carry his power up, he has stopped 19 guys before" (Narvaez wasn't a power puncher at 115 so what power did they expect him to carry up to 118? He'd stopped 1 of his previous 6 opponents)

Talking about Chavez Jr:
"Chavez has defended his title once against Ryan Rhodes" (He'd also defended against Gomez)

During highlights of Glazkov v Peret:
"Peret fought Tyson Fury in a kilt" (It was Marcel Zeller who fought in a kilt)

During Melendez v Bahktin:
"I'd award Bahktin 120 points" (It was a 10 round fight)

Talking about Katsidis:
"Katsidis lost on points to Marquez" (Nope Marquez stopped him in the 9th round)

Talking after the Molitor fight:
"Get Quigg in with Molitor it'll get him a world ranking" (Quigg is ranked by 3 of the world bodies already)

Talking about Bute:
"The Super 6, these were all well known names, Bute weren't" (Bute was a hell of a lot more well known than Ward or Dirrell and was on par with Froch)

Whilst these are only little things they add up and you sort of wonder if they just say any old crap thinking everyone ill go "they know what they are talking about"

And theres more!! :witzend:

Yup, like when they called Bradley v Cote an "All Canadian" fight, it's become almost a fun game to spot what cock ups they make. It's just not good for professional journalists in the sport to be making such errors.

And thats with out mentioning Bunce's rant about Syllahk.

Exactly.

Looking at potential headliners within Warrens stable - who is likely to be out in December and January, say?

Dereck Chisora - Fighting on Friday according to his twitter, so won't be out again
Cleverly and Bellew - Just fought a tough fight so cant see either of them turning round that quick
Degale - As per Cleverly and Bellew
Groves - Possible given that it wasn't a particularly tough nights work against Smith, but can't see it being too tough an opponent on reduced notice.
Billy Joe Saunders - could see him in a run out for something like a UK title eliminator or similar level in January but not before
Jamie Cox - due to rematch Sai, but that's not too mouthwatering a prospect as a headline attraction
Frankie Gavin - well documented personal problems are likely to keep him out of the ring for a good while
Ricky Burns - just fought
John Murray - fighting on Dec 3rd
Kevin Mitchell - Legal problems may keep him out, but could feasibly have a filler before a world title crack in Spring
Liam Walsh - Fought at beginning of Sept, so could easily see him again
Lee Selby / John Simpson - due to fight next week

Given there is nothing on the schedule domestically bar the fights mentioned and Crolla v Limond, unless Warren plans on winning every domestic purse bid, there's going to be a pretty spartan schedule because one promotional group simply doesn't have the numbers to support a 2-card a week schedule.

Even counting foreign cards doesn't make the schedule much more mouth watering.

There's Cotto v Margarito and Rios v Murray, which is a decent night, but the following week while Khan fights on Prime Time, allegedly potentially have Wlad v Mormeck. 17th December is Froch v Ward on Sky and then xmas kicks in. So I can't see what fights can be used to make a subscription enticing.

Wlad is on Sky! I was thinking the same as you who will be rushed out in December. There not enough time have a big fight for Dec 10th.

It is early days with allegedly and I have been impressed with what I have seen so far but still think there is room for improvement and I do agree that they need to better research on some fighters etc and I like the idea of taking questions via Twitter. I would not have brought in Richard Keys personally as one of the presenters and I would have just stuck with Andy Kerr and Jim Rosenthal as they know their stuff about the fight game, but then again it's personal opinion. John Rawling's is a good experienced commentator and I have been impressed with Enzo Mac as a pundit and I prefer him to Duke McKenzie as Mac has more recent ring experience in comparison to McKenzie in my opinion

The first few weeks have been great, Rawling is ok by current standards, Enzo has been a mini revelation, it's great that they show almost the full card too and the overseas action has been very welcome.

But I won't subscribe, no chance. This sort of thing will make boxing even more of a minority sport than it has already become, and the fighters will be virtual unknowns because the casual fan will never see them. If a fighter spends his career on allegedly how will anybody outside of the hardcore fans even hear of him? I like watching Snooker now and then but I wouldn't pay a tenner a month to watch it.

And you have to worry about editorial content, will Buncey and the boys have someone's hand up their back forcing them to try and convince everyone that the usual domestic level WBO title fight is actually the real deal? Once you've paid up is it back to the usual mismatches and bogus titles? Too many negatives for me.

Paying an extra tenner a month for fights that should be on skysports anyway? load of old bollox with biased commentaries and having to listen to Ennnnzzoo macccarenelli drawing out every syllable.. no chance.

It says get 6 months for the price of 5 on the website. If its a 6 month contract and not a year I think I will subscribe.

Either Groves or DeGale will headline in December (probably the 10th).

Another show due on Dec 16, it was supposed to be Chisora if he beat War Machine.

The Dec 10th show is only a month away think its late in the day to get good opponent in. If Degale it be Sanavia Italian who his mandatory. Will Groves fans go again in month time, very soon after last fight.

Theres gonna be a 'big' FW show on 17th Dec according to a few people. God knows which of FW's fighters will be on it though coz they're either due to fight before then, or have fought recently.
That is off the allegedly schedule now.

Yeah - I saw that but Bunce and Groves both said on Saturday to basically watch out for 17th Dec so perhaps the show is still on....... doubt it though since there will be no headlining act that i can see happening from his stable.
The week before xmas can't see that selling well. Too late in the month.

Don't care much for that fight but isn't Ramos v Rigondeaux on the undercard? That should be worth a watch.
