For me there's no doubt that Kessler is above Froch in the SMW rankings and I fail to see how anyone can argue otherwise?

If Kessler didn't get injured, Froch would be in the final without bringing a title to the table.
Quoting Roger Tilleman's scorecard and ignoring the Showtime commentary as having Froch a clear winner fails to disguise your trolling.

What's up did you get banned at ESB? If you knew anything about the tournament at all you would know that if Kess beat Green and Froch beat Abraham they would have rematched instead of Johnson entering the show.

Stick to Khan.

My mistake, sorry.

Still doesn't change the fact that there's no justification for having Froch ahead of Kessler

I also feel quite bad tonight - Jim Watt said the draw against Froch vs Johnson was a disgrace. I, too, had it a draw.

Bute is a very good fighter but there is no way you can rank him ahead of Ward and Froch unless your ranking system is completely moronic. You can't rate a fighter based on how good you think they are. They have to prove it by fighting and beating the best. Someone can look like a million dollars beating up bums (which is basically what Bute has been doing) and then come unstuck the first time they come up against real resistance. Bute already "lost" against Andrade the first time, and has never fought outside his comfort zone - let alone against the best.

That being said, he has shown some impressive skills and certainly does look the part. I would make him even odds against both Froch and Ward, depending on where the fight is made. The fact remains though that he has to actually prove he is best in the ring.

Not sure where Bute fits in, all I know is Froch, Ward and Kessler belong at the top. Andrade beat Bute although Bute was winning on points up until the 12th when he was KOd. The ref was definately on Butes side. Why else would he stop the count, turn his back, and walk away. It was a bit like watching the WWE where the ref and the wrestlers are all working to a plan in a pre fixed fight. Who has Bute beaten for him to be placed first? A well worn Johnson well past hs best. He turned down the super six, legitimately the best in the World when the tournament began. As Ward and Froch say "let him come to us". If Bute wants to prove himself and get the paydays he has to travel and fight the best and that means facing Froch, Ward and Kessler. It is indeed an insult to put his name higher than those three. My hope is Carl wins and goes to the top of the rankings. If he can pull off a win against Ward, he deserves the top spot.

I think people are being a tad harsh on Bute - people complained that he fought no-one, then he fought Johnson but off course Johnson is well past it. Nobody was saying it was a bad opponent for Froch.

Lets not forget at the start of the super 6 - Ward and Dirrell were not among the favourites to win the tourny cause they hadn't beaten anyone of note. They were not in any independent top ten ranking I had seen - okay, both have proven themselves worthy since, but at the time.

Bute's beaten some decent names, including Andrade twice (the only controvesial aspect of the first fight is should the ref have stopped it before he went down - what happend after doesn't matter - Bute was up before 10 and the bell had already gone). The winner of Ward vs Froch deserves to be ahead of Bute (I aint so sure about the loser) - but Bute deserves to be "mandatory challenger" if you will.

Probably the most embarrassing thing that has been uttered on this forum?
x2

I wonder if he thinks Piotr Wilczewski would force a stoppage as well.
