As my above posts have tried to suggest, Ochieng has a much better record than the others. Forget the one loss - it doesn't and shouldn't mean that he gets left behind fighters with an "0" who have fought inferior opposition. Quigley I accept hasn't done much more than the two other fighters.
Why don't we just forget all losses ? Just put only fighters that have lost into title shots. How ridiculous is that, infact maybe the fighters who beat Ochieng and Quigley should fight for the English Title. Jamie Ball is Midland Area Champ, the Title before English, Al Harbi is a WBC Continental Champ and No 4 in the WBC ASia Rankings and Nominated for the WBC World Youth Title and Asia World Boxing Council Title against the Thai and Asia no 1 who is ranked 29 in the WBC world Rankings.

Maybe they should, at least Robinson has beaten somebody of note in a truly competitive matchup. You seem intent on missing my point, which is that Ochieng has fought better opposition than the others. I say this as a neutral btw, I have no attachment to Ochineg or Quigley. Losses are not the end of the world for a fighter, and boxing would better off if promoters and tv companies took that view too. Long unbeaten records need to judged by the quality of fighters beaten, which is why Mayweather is a modern great, and why Malik Scott isn't.

No you miss the point mate and to be honest you won't admit you might be wrong, when a fighter loses he should go to the back of the que and fix his mistakes, not get rewarded with title shots, otherwise how ever will unbeaten fighters get the chance. This is a major problem with British boxing, the same fighters keep getting title shots, over and over again after losing them, so young unbeaten fighters never get a chance. Unbeaten fighters are always interesting because you don't know what you have got, were as Beaten fighters could well have found their level. How can you use Mayweather as an example bearing in mind he is attacked for picking safe opponenents, were as Pacman is not. Also Don't use world champions as a comparison for young prospects. I am done with this now it is a waste of time, when the time comes you will see who is the best.

I going to agree to disagree. However, I wasn't comparing Mayweather with young prospects, I was making a comparison between unbeaten records which deserve respect (his), in comparison with those not so praiseworthy (Malik Scott). Also, not once have I said Ochieng is better than your mate, but he has fought better fighters and therefore should be rated higher. Al Harbi has a decent cosmetic record, but needs a win in a competitive (on paper) fight. If he beats Ball then job done as far as I'm concerned. Good luck to them both, as I said originally, this is a good fight :TU:

Lads not worth arguing about its nothing to do with records its if yr face fits we all know that.Plenty of talented unbeaten fighters dont get a lookin plenty who do,plenty of poor fighters who get chances when they should regardless of record its who with who what matters really.

Nas is a skillfull fast fighter and to be honest anyone fighting him would be better advised to get him sooner rather than later as all hes lacking in my opinion is a bit of man strength because of his young years when he gets that theyl wish they give the shot earlier and not give him time to develop.

I know Jamie and Nas so wont offer an opinion but just hope the best man wins and it leads to bigger and better things for them.

I do second that. Life is too short to be arguing on internet forums, although I'd like to think we were having a "debate" . Hopefully the winner will get a chance to challenge for the English directly and not be pissed around.

Al Harbi has tried to get better fights, last year he excepted Dean Byrne and a match with Matthew Hall but both never happened, we also tried to get fighters with winning records and unbeaten fighters, also British Champion and English Champion at the time Lee Purdy and Adnan Amar, as well as Midland area champions in different divisions, if you can't get the fights how can you progress? So this fight with Jamie Ball will give Nas a platform.

Your right Jon and that's why nas has not had the big fights. With regards to man strength, to be honest you have not watched him spar or train for a very long time, he has come a long way in that department, ask some of the people he has sparred recently, Plus I have done a lot of work on strength conditioning via my Martial Arts background, he just has not been as busy due to fights falling through.

Yes true and iv always said when it comes naturally watch out .it was the only thing not there and that due to the fact he turned pro as a teenager.Look at it as a bonus people will think they are getting a none puncher because of his low stoppage ratio then you can surprise them.
