Adam Nolan qualifies for London after defeating veteran Gheorge Ionut.Josh Taylor loses but still qualifies. Nolan faces Pastrick Wojicki in the final. Callum Smith loses but must hope his conqueror Vasan Huseynli wins the competition to qualifies.Huseynli meets Bahram Muzzafer.
At 52 Selcuk Eker and Nordine Oubaali qualify whilst Magomed Omarov and Tony Yoka face each other in the final but both qualify

Anthony Ogogo qualifies to make it seven for Britain. The Russians are having a nightmare with Zaytsev losing.Australia will have ten and Russia seven in London.Quite bizarre.
It stands Turkey 3 Ireland 0-You must have upset them but there should be no problems in judging in London 2012.

I just saw the 2nd and 3rd rd's and Paddy was throwing 20 punches for every one the Turk threw. Sure the Turk had a good high guard but there is no way he beat Paddy like that. Paddy landed easily as many punches as the Turk. I've been there for 2 world championship tournaments and they are a bunch of cheating bastards. Even though they didn't actually have Turks judging the bouts, their buddies take care of them. Doganelli is gone things haven't change. Electronic scoring sucks!!

In last years world championships of the 160 boxers who contested the last sixteen in ten weights there was one Turkish boxer and he lost.
In last years europeans also in Turkey they won four medals including one gold. Here in this qualifier there were eight in the semis and five qualifiers.

Some of the fights could have gone either way like Ntuve vs Quabali or Eker vs Kalucza, but two fights had the wrong winner. One outcome was a disgusting hometown decision:Mikhail Dauhaliavets knocked his Turkish opponent down, hurt him several times, knocked him around like a punching ball inside the ring, but wasnt able to take the Turkish home boy out of action due to a fussy and protective ref.The winner Muzaffer would not have survived more than 2 rounds against the merciless and hard-punching Belarussian whose style is made for the pros.Props to his determination, his rough style, and his ruthless attidude inside a ring. The outcome of this fight was a joke!!! Ludicrious!!
Englishman Callum Smith did more than enough to outpoint his Azeri opponent Huseynli.
Smith connected with some telling punches, had the better defence, better jabs, was faster and threw two beautiful uppercuts.Hell,he should have never lost that fight.IMO he deserved the victory, but the Azeris are Turkey's brothers.Bad luck for Smith!!

When is AIBA going to get rid of the corrupt officials? They didn't disappear with Choudhry. As I have said for years, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could see who the cheaters are. It sucks for the better boxers that got screwed.

It's criminal, mate. Kids have been training for years at the chance to represent their nation in the Olympics, yet fat-arsed officials deny these kids the chance by taking back-handers. Corrupt wankers.
