All-Time Lists Thread! Most wins, Most KO's, Most Bouts, Etc
Re: All-Time Lists Thread! Most wins, Most KO's, Most Bouts, Etc
It is highly unlikely that One Round Hogan, who was listed in RRB as having 18 staright KO's, actually had 18 straight. It has never been verified and I have yet to see a record for Hogan than has over 20 total bouts. His record here on boxrec has the most bouts I have ever seen for him...not that it is not true, but it's highly unlikely that it is!

His younger brother, Luis Valero, is now 3-0, all KO's in round 1.

I used to see Young Otto, the great 1 round ko artist in the early 1900s, when he was a boxing judge at MSG in the 1940s, under his real name Arthur Susskind...Martin Sosa Cameron wrote:In the same book: Most consecutive one round K.O.:

Who's got the best 'never been stopped' record I wonder?
A combination of having never been stopped over a long number of fights, and of having fought some big punchers too...

Re: All-Time Lists Thread! Most wins, Most KO's, Most Bouts, Etc
You have to be careful with data from any Ring Record Book, except probably the very last one 1986-87, which had a lot of top notch historians who helped out with the historical records. All of the early Ring Record books are absolutely full of errors...especially the lists! Though they are a really good starting point to begin research.
Re: All-Time Lists Thread! Most wins, Most KO's, Most Bouts, Etc
Louis Brock was a boxer in the late 1900s. He was murdered in 1999, ending his up hill climb to the top of the leader boards in boxing. Does anyone remember anything about him or his successes. I'm gathering information for his mother who was recently in the recent hurricane in New York. Her and her husband made it to safety, but lost everything, including pictures and letters from her son. Any help at this time would be invaluable. Please let me know what you know or could find out.
Sincerely, Greywolf
