Man, I seem to agree with you everywhere but heavyweight discussions. Armstrong's my #1. Not as talented as Robinson nor a career as expansive as Robinson, but was as if not more destructive in his prime than Robinson.

I actually think a peak Armstrong would have been too strong and fast for Robinson at Welter and would have beaten him on points!. Hell of a fight though!......
I'd go for Robinson because his style was more conductive to beating different styles(outbox the boxers and he could out slug the sluggers) but if anyone picks Armstrong I wouldn't argue a bit,his record for a while until his style probably caught up with him was amazing.

I think he does too. Just saying overall he wasn't as purely talented boxing wise as Robinson.
hmm where do u guys think duran lists?... i dont think hes the greatest or anything, but ive heard other people dub him the greatest.. where do u think he is on the list?
Every poll I have ever seen that used experts, observers and historians on this subject have put Sugar Ray Robinson at the top.
Every Ring Magazine list and the AP End of Century Boxing Poll come to mind.
Plus MOST (not all, of course) of the old boxers, trainers and observers who saw him fight....Ali, Joe Louis, Ingemar Johansson, Floyd Patterson...Nat Fleischer, Don Dunphy, Ferdie Pacheco...on and on and...

Top 10 maybe even top 5. He's the greatest Latin boxer.
1. Ezzard Charles
2. Ray Robinson
3. Sam Langford
4. Roberto Duran
5. Henry Armstrong
6. Harry Greb
7. Sandy Saddler
8. Willie Pep
9. Ray Leonard
10. Jimmy Wilde
Everyone has their own opinions and the order does change but hopefully most people would take at least 6/10 of my list
