BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
An oversight? A moral stance? Hypocritical?
Interesting.
Interesting.

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Maybe Boxrec people will be banned from future fights if they put it in their schedule.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Lets see if the fight goes ahead. I expect some announcements from various bodies soon.
Other than that .... No comment.

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
BoxRec is afraid of the BBBofC bullies.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Put them both up as tba on that date...?

So you think the fight wont happen? The Law wrote:Lets see if the fight goes ahead. I expect some announcements from various bodies soon.

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
I should imagine that if the BBBofC take a hardline stance like they say they will do, it could cause boxrec some serious problems if they recognise it as a legitimate fight prematurely.leforge wrote:So you think the fight wont happen? The Law wrote:Lets see if the fight goes ahead. It is a legitimate fight.kingfinn wrote:I should imagine that if the BBBofC take a hardline stance like they say they will do, it could cause boxrec some serious problems if they recognise it as a legitimate fight prematurely.

Yeah but not to the BBBofC party poopers.Horse wrote:It is a legitimate fight.kingfinn wrote:I should imagine that if the BBBofC take a hardline stance like they say they will do, it could cause boxrec some serious problems if they recognise it as a legitimate fight prematurely.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Is Robert Smith the main man who will be held responsible for the recent actions of the BBBofC when it all comes back to bite them? Or will it be someone else?
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
I don't see boxrec listing any other unlicensed fights, why should Haye v Chisora be any different?
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Its not unlicensed its backed by the wbo and wba and licensed by an EBU member the mighty luxemburg board of control.Coco wrote:I don't see boxrec listing any other unlicensed fights, why should Haye v Chisora be any different?

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
because it is licenced!?Coco wrote:I don't see boxrec listing any other unlicensed fights, why should Haye v Chisora be any different?
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
The BBBoC have not licensed it, they are the official body in Britain.
Does Boxrec list bouts sanctioned by the EBF etc?

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
BoxRec list the Austrian sanction bouts in Germany, the German sanctioned bouts in Denmark, the British sanctioned bouts in Egypt so why not the Lux bouts in Britain.Coco wrote:The BBBoC have not licensed it, they are the official body in Britain.

Hard to defend.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Because for example the Austrian board have no problems with their fighters fighting in Germany, and the Germans are happy to have them.
However Haye does not have a British license and Chisora is currently banned.
Are you saying that the BBBoC should not have a say who fights in a licensed bout on their turf?

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
NEWSFLASH The Luxembourg federation is a joke.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Chisora isn't banned he had his license taken away, so he got a new one.Coco wrote:Because for example the Austrian board have no problems with their fighters fighting in Germany, and the Germans are happy to have them.

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
I assume though that Haye is now a licenced fighter, albeit with the luxemburg licence..... what about Danny Williams fighting in Germany on a Latvian Licence? Any different?
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
His British license has been taken away, and the BBBoC does not recognise his new one.Horse wrote:Chisora isn't banned he had his license taken away, so he got a new one.Coco wrote:Because for example the Austrian board have no problems with their fighters fighting in Germany, and the Germans are happy to have them.

Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
Who cares what the BBBofC says? Chisora and Haye are licensed. The BBBofC are not the be all and end all of boxing.Coco wrote:His British license has been taken away, and the BBBoC does not recognise his new one.
Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
The difference is that the German authorities recognise Danny Williams Latvian license. Some European licenses have different medical stipulations than others. For an example my pal with a Spanish license went to fight in Italy and was asked for further medical test like he needed to have an MRI as they are not compulsory in Spain.stujones wrote:I assume though that Haye is now a licenced fighter, albeit with the luxemburg licence..... what about Danny Williams fighting in Germany on a Latvian Licence? Re: BoxRec not listing Chisora v Haye
The BBBoC are the licensing body in Britain. Whether you care about that or not isn't really relevant.Horse wrote:Who cares what the BBBofC says? Chisora and Haye are licensed. And remember they are only licensed in Luxembourg, thats like showing a policeman a dog license when he stops you in the car!

Exactly.
It's unsanctioned and we don't list unsanctioned fights. If it comes off then we will have to have think about including the result.
In the mean time I expect an announcement from an important body (possibly on Monday).
