Fully aware that financial side isnt going to be easy your not telling me anything i dont know there .
Ok i admit wording it the way i did may not have sounded very complimentary , ill give you that .
but to say that because someones won an english title means my guys wouldnt beat him is ignorant as you dont know these lads .
Theres a poster on here , who i wont mention his name but if he chooses to comment then he will do , who is close to Adnan , and also knows one of the lads i mentioned quite well too , who agreed when i said on saturday night that my guy would have stopped adnan .
wether he chooses to comment on this on here is upto him as he may not wish to do so seeing that hes friends with adnan , but im hoping he does , just so that he clarify im not talking crap .
I wouldnt expect him to do so though as it would maybe put him in an awkward position .
Ill re-iterate to be competely clear im not saying anything bad against your son whatsover , and in all honesty i think everyone who gets in the ring , no matter at what level are all worthy of my respect and of any other boxing fans , Just wish you would get off your high horse thinking no one knows as much as you , maybe people would actually take your opinion seriously if it wasnt always coupled with abusing someone , you need to start realising that not everyone has the same opinion , if someone doesnt rate Nasser then so what ,no big deal , the most important thing is he shows them in the ring why they are wrong , just as i intend to do with my lads .
Hello thought I would comment as I was having a read and seen that Damian's opinions were being totally belittled. Firstly the light middle that Damian has a very exciting style and will be one to watch in the pro's. He will surely make it up to British level if managed correctly. Whether he goes further remains to be seen but whomever he faces he will always be dangerous for them. And the guy in question would have beat the version of Adnan that we witnessed Saturday. The version of Adnan from a couple of fights ago that we all came accustomed would be a different story though.
As for where Adnan goes from here, knowing some things i do and without making excuses I will just state what i believe are the best options. I think he needs to re-dedicate himself, find his love for the sport again, and switch trainers. Now I am not saying that this is a case of 'oh he lost so blame the trainer' but for him personally i think he would be better off with someone like Dave Coldwell training him.
Damian's other guy due to go pro with him is another decent operator. Nowhere near the level of the light middle, but he will be a gate keeper type for a division in my view. Kind of like Max Maxwell. The guy you need to beat to know your a certain level. Always in competitive fights.
I have not personally seen Nasser fight so can not pass comment. But looking at his record he does not possess knock out power, and has only fought one guy with a winning record which ended in a technical draw. His next opponent is for a WBC international title though so a lot should be revealed about him in that contest.
As far as your high opinion of your mate, I would say don't judge someone on white collar, as they are nowhere near the leval of prospects, so you have no ardument to work with there, maybe he has some talent, but beating a bunch of guys off the street, does not mean much, wait till he turns pro and proves himself against good opperators before you big him up, as I said before Nasser has sparred with top white collar fighters before and out classed them, Nasser was once tipped to be a future world champion when he was 18, by former World Champ and boxing expert Richie woodhall, based his ability working wiith Top Pro's like, Louis Garcia, Matthew Macklin ect, not a bunch of guys off the street and not tipped by white collar people and Nasser has fought 2 with winning records, one he beat who was 12st 10 Ilbs an unbeaten and the last one who was also unbeaten, current midland area champ, who Nasser dominated winning all the rounds on the refs score cards before a clas of heads caused a small cut to stop the contest and make it a TD, it should never have been stopped, then Nas would have won, we have tried for a rematch but they don't want it, not suprisingly. Comparing the other one to Max Maxwell is also being totaly silly really, Max has worked hard for years to get to his position, so your man is gonner do the same and he has not fought anyone yet. Anytime your lads would like spar message me or Jon Pegg, we would love to see these future greats.
safeerah ,
Why is it that you seem to hold a view that if someone isnt pro
then they must not know a good fighter if they see one .
that may be the case for most but damon know his stuff
its proof in the pudding that he has most of his fights matched very close
almost all regardless of level are a close fight on ones ive been to
so he obviously knows what hes looking at .
i am a pro and i have seen his guy in action
the guy will be knocking people out
i am 10000% certain
he hits very very hard
puts people under pressure
reminds me of ricky hatton
but hits a lot harder i think
i train with pros i am a pro
and i have seen the guy box
he is not stupid he wont want to take him to spar
he gets to spar with and beat up pro boxers already
he would be wise not to take him to spar because of element of surprise
not sure he can beat nasser but i think nasser is good
that dont mean this guy isnt also good .
kamicaaze ,
i think your friendliness with adnan as clouded you a bit
i think he knocks adnan out 8 out 10 times
adnan has lost his chin
he could have been so much better
but didnt step up to learn
comfort zone springs to mind .
i honestly think adnan and nasser should fight
it would teach us more about both men
forget damons fighter
even if he does how i think he will
then it will still be 3 or 4 years before he would be fighting people like nasser and adnan
i dont think adnan will still be around by then .
