Maybe the Luxembourg federation will take action!
Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
Eventim.de, the official ticket partner for the promotion, was advertising tickets with Rahman v Povetkin on the undercard just yesterday (I've not looked today).
Shambolic treatment of customers, but entirely in keeping with a certain promoters contempt for boxing fans.

Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
I'm amazed Frank has agreed to that, it's def a BIG advantage for Haye, because Chizzy is a 12 round fighter
Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
Hmmmm…been really looking forward to this… seems a bit dodgy? Am I over-reacting? Fells like a blow job without the swallow…
Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
This robs both Chisora and the fans.

Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
I imagine one of the fighters, maybe Haye, requested this and dug in, so they ask the other guy, tell him he'll get paid the same, and he's thought what the hell, same cash for 2 rounds less - why not.
I doubt either has a grand plan to take the other late, they'll both fancy an early night: haye because he thinks he punches like Mike Tyson, and Del because he thinks he'll crack Haye's glass jaw as soon as he lands.
It's all about the money this one.

So Haye decided 10 rounds
Warren confirmed that Hayemaker camp insisted on 10 rounds. We know DelBoy can grind an opponant down throughout a fight. Is he scred of that?

Re: So Haye decided 10 rounds
According to FW WBA/WBO sanctioned it as a 12 round title run. He said to Bunce Hrhino222 wrote:amazing if its true.
they was whispers Hayemaker were'nt happy and campagned about a week or so ago for it to change!
Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
I think its more to do with them wanting it to be a shoot out and they dont want it to go to points. Haye doesnt have a lot to gain from the fight going to points, he either needs to ko chisora or for chisora to crawl platoon style to the bell at the end of the 10th. If it turns into a long drawn out fight and they give chisora 12 rounds to drag haye into the later rounds, it becomes boring and haye wins on points haye will have gained nothing from the fight.
Chisoras only gone the 12 rounds 3 times and he lost all 3 of those fights Haye has to do better. I could be wrong but thats my take on the situation. Do they want chisora thinking he can drag out 12 round to try and get a points win, not that he ever has but its a consideration.

when has chisora done anything in a fight from round 10 onwards that has changed the course of a fight he was in?

Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
This is terrible.... if I had bought a ticket I would feel very hard done by. Shit undercard and only 10 rounds?
The fighters are getting a great payday for a ten round fight....
Anyway as to bets, I got all my bets returned (boylesports and SKYBET) - I had put the bets on early and had caught great odds -
HAve round 1: 40-1, rnd 2: 33-1, rnd 3: 28-1
The odds are almost half that now.
Also bet on HAye by KO at 2-1. A great price which has now gone down to 5/4.
Not sure why the odds have changed in that manner whne there are fewer rounds; but I have lost a lot of value and am very pissed off.
Warren has really ripped off the fans with the undercard and the rounds change.

He slowly grinds down a fighter. Won 12th round against Helenus and Vitali. COuld make the difference if it's close!rhino222 wrote:when has chisora done anything in a fight from round 10 onwards that has changed the course of a fight he was in?

I think one thing to remember whilst i completely agree with you - people watching in the pub or the majority of people who will be at upton park dont even watch the undercard and only care about the main event being exciting so wont give a monkeys. Although imo it does make it all seem a bit amateurish with a 10 round main event, LBF licenses and no undercard.
Re: 10 Round Fight for Haye/Chisora!
7 minutes of electricity saved. In these financially straitened times, that maybe an important consideration for today's discerning Promoter. Or non-promoting manager.
Haye: This fight has always been over 10 rounds
Why the fornicate was this fight set to be over 10 rounds? I just don't get it. It was clearly at Hayes request - but takes even further from Hayes credibility. He is the one talking about fat opponents and talking up his speed and conditioning, so why the hell doesn't he fight over 12 rounds? I can't believe Warren and Chisora agreed to this and I feel robbed.
Anybody else remember any heavily hyped fights in the past from former world title challengers still in their primes which was fought below 12 rounds?
As for Haye, I wonder if he predicted at the weigh in what would happen in the Wlad fight? Because if I remember correctly he was talking about Wlad running scared and getting knocked out.
"Haye was struggling to look me in the eye and kept trying to laugh and look out at the fans," insisted Chisora, who also demanded Haye tell him why the fight is over 10 rounds and not the usual 12 rounds. "You changed the distance, you are scared," said Chisora.
Haye denies he recently asked for the fight to be downgraded from 12 to 10 rounds, insisting he signed a contract several months ago for 10 rounds. "Dereck needs to find somebody to read him his contract because this fight has always been over 10 rounds," Haye said. "What is he so worried about? I looked in his eyes and I saw the same belief and confidence that Tyson Fury, Robert Helenius and Vitali Klitschko saw – and what happened in those fights? He lost them all. It's possible to be confident and lose."
"This fight is all about what the fans want and I know from the weigh-in that they will not be disappointed," continued Haye. "I have been in a lot of big fights and I can tell what will happen in the fight by what happens at the weigh-in. Dereck will try and that will be his downfall."

A bet on DQ may not be a bad shout.....got a feeling it could turn a bit nasty in the ring if eiether of the trip up and take the other one with them. Could be a ear biting moment or something?
