Are you serious mate? can you not see why this would provoke people? You were only honest because you were found out!!! You didn't exactly come out and say...."i've got something to say guys"..........

Jesus christ, i don't know you and i'm a massive boxing fan but this infuriates me,

Well if that is the case he should get a hefty ban.

Seriously Larry...I remember interviewing you. You were a total gentleman and I could sense your passion. To be fair it was one of my favorite pieces, just because I could tell how much you wanted it Did you do this to gain an advantage, or do you consider cheating so rife in the sport that you needed to level the playing field?
Pointless question - he'll cry everyone is doing it... no they're not... only the cheats who don't give a shit if they potentially kill someone
I imagine that many of the higher level fighters have some sort of advantage; chemical/nutritional and if a boxer has ambitions to get to the higher levels the temptation must be strong to use. There are a number of supplement companies that advertise to boxers, to read the testimonials of users, they have a clear advantage over someone who doesn't use.

I think there will be a few very popular ex boxers who were lucky not to get caught out and shamed.

I think some of you are being abit harsh to be honest. Dont get me wrong I think cheating like that is disgusting and the fact that Larry to me isnt really taking accountability for his actions by saying well Mosley, etc didnt get the kind of punishment im receiving so that kind of makes it all right doesnt wash with me. Anyway some of the comments are abit excessive I think, yes what he's done is flat out wrong but you have to remember he hasnt killed anyone or raped anyone, etc. You have to put it into context, thats all im saying.

True but the fact is it's the minority. I've been in gyms with pros for years and I've never seen it. Not saying it doesn't happen, it clearly happens far too much but not everyone.

This clears shit up for me...

As John Ruiz notes, “The only sport in which steroids can kill someone other than the person using them is boxing. You’re stronger when you use steroids. You’re quicker and faster. If a baseball player uses steroids, he hits more home runs. So what? I’m not saying that it’s right, but you’re not putting anyone else at risk. When a fighter is juiced, it’s dangerous. People go crazy about the effect that steroids have when a bat hits a ball. What about when a fist hits a head?”

That's like saying I stabbed someone but it's ok they didn't die. In context, he could've killed someone. This aint sprinting, it's boxing.

I respect Larry for staying on here and not running away and hiding.

In saying that, I'm not sure he is really genuine sorry for taking the PEDs in order to gain an unfair advantage over his opponents.

He cheated for a long time, and in doing so, he put the health of his opponents in danger every time he fought. I'm not sure how many of those guys would have agreed to fight him if they realised the extent of his drug abuse.

Ultimately, Larrys career as a fighter is over and that is a hard thing for anybody to take. As is people pissing all over everything you've achieved.

Everybody deserves a second chance. I would like Larry to continue posting, but he must understand that he will not receive much sympathy or support on the subject of PEDs.

If Larry wants some good to come out of this, he should try to use himself as an example - to get dirty fighters off drugs - to expose the shocking lack of drug testing in British Boxing, and help take boxing back to a more level playing field.

ok can i ask a question here, what is the difference between someone injecting epo and another fighter using an expensive altitude tent to increase his red blood cells and therefore last longer in a fight? one is allowed and one is banned but they both do the same thing

Na I agree about that, you didnt have to tell them that and I give you your props for that. I agree that Mosley and like getting lenient punishments like they have is wrong and you're right that they should of been punished more severely its just that two wrongs dont make a right so to speak. For me the situation with the elite level guys like Mosley, etc in comparison to yourself who's been a domestic level fighter is a bit like the politicians and the expenses scandal. If any of us 'normal' people did that we'd get banged up for quite awhile whereas they hardly get any punishment, thats life generally though its sad to say! The powerful do what they want whilst the rest of us get punished for are actions.

this is the problem with this cheating scumbag

he feels justified in his cheating

just look at the above comment and think of the logic that he is using

he feels no remorse for all the sh*t he injected up his arse and is going to be doing it for the next 4 years and then come back to boxing

he is an absolute c*nt of the highest order and has disgraced himself time and time again.

There have been other heavyweight boxers in the UK that were massively popular and their use was shielded/brushed under the carpet. The testing regime is an out and out joke. If there are penalties for using steroids etc then they should be applied across the board - what's good for the goose is good for the gander - otherwise people will see some being treated harshly and some leniantly and some not at all; that is bound to cause confusion and resentment; even among people that accept they've done wrong. Larry has been caught out and has lost out big time; if Iwre in his position I'd sack the game and get into something else. If the powers that be are going to fornicate him up and leave the next man alone or a token ban then it's a balls up and puts none of it in a good light.

Lol the difference being is they cheated and were world class, you struggled massively at domestic. Whether you took PED's or not, i'd still say you weren't very good. In a very polite way.

Simmer down snackbar you muppet. Most people don`t see him as "Scum". Level headed people see him as a guy who was big time in the wrong. Scum? Get real.

The logic he uses above makes some sense to me.
