You counted them?
Guesstimation. It is just common logic that Frazier in no way fought the best Ali in 1971. If Tiger Woods was off 3.5 years would he be expected to beat the best golfers after only 2 golf events? If Dan Marino was off 3.5 years would we expected him to be able to perform at his best in the Super Bowl after only 2 games to shake off the rust? As for Ken Norton vs Ali there are no excuses. I'm not even saying Ali wouldve won in 1971,if not for the forced retirement but it would have been much different fight imo
Just can't deal with the fact that Ali failed in the FOTC, can you?
Frazier won fair and square.
Joe also had his own issues coming into the fight, blood pressure problems and a broken ankle less than 12 months before the FOTC.
Ali had SIX times the rounds in the ring than Frazier did in the six months leading into the FOTC.
Are you so naive as to really believe that Ali was completely away from the ring during his "forced retirement"?
Ali lost the most important fight of his career.
The fight with the whole world watching two undefeated greats at a time when both were nearest their peaks and knowing it was the seminal moment of their careers.
Stop the unseemly whining and deal with it.
