I don't know. He retired in 1981. Had fighters learned how to fight yet by then?
Fro those who dont know, the great j.l.sullivan is referring to my stance that his name sake could not compete with fighters of today because his style was too primative. Although you are delllusional, the above was a funny jab.

I saw him fight once.
He was in the crowd at MSG and when this guy made fun of his brother he put him in a head lock til security broke it up. Wait, oh I'm sorry you're talking about Roger Leonard, I thought you said Roger Clinton. Sorry, my bad.
