Poor stoppage but BJS would likely have had him out of there in the next round.

What a ridiculous decision from Lewis, I thought Fletcher could have gone on. Really annoyed by that, I was hoping for a far longer fight, one that would have tested BJS but fair play to him, he landed some good shots and never looked in trouble.
Yep, its not as if Fletcher was a mug, he knows his way around a ring and deserved his chance to come though a rough time, i remember IJL being down 5 times in one fight and kept coming back at his opponent, so why the early stoppages all the time. If it was Saunders in trouble there is no way he would of stopped it like that.

Horse, I was going to say that I'm quite surprised that none of the commentary team disagreed with the decision but...then I remembered that they all say the same fornicating thing for a reason. Doesn't make it any less annoying though does it?

It was stopped early if you consider fletcher to have been competative. To me he was well out of his league and was going to get badly kod if he carried on. On paper it was a good match up in reality it was a complete mismatch fletcher was getting hurt what was the point of letting the fight go on.

The Sky commentators and the Sky pundits in their box often disagree with farcical nonsense that takes place in the ring.

allegedly should try to maintain credibility by doing something similar, rather than trying to convince the public that the farce they have just seen is justified.

A ridiculously early stoppage from Ian John Lewis, who seems to not give a damn about his own credibility.

The same IJL that let Shannon Briggs get his face fractured and spent a few days in intensive care following a 12-round beating by Klitschko ?

A broken nose, a torn left bicep and a broken orbital bone.

Probably why hes jumping in earlier these days. Dont get me wrong i would have liked the fight to go on longer but its ijl job to protect a fighter. briggs had a corner that should have pulled him out of a sustained pasting.

Ian-John Lewis has developed a stoppage style of his very own. The hover in the middle of the action for a few seconds before waving it off.

Totally agree, should never of been stopped at that point ! Never !
I don't blame the guy for leaving the ring when he did, his traveled halfway around the world for that to happen, I agree bjs was starting to get into it abit quicker but that's not the point !
Terrible stoppage yet again from ijl, he really should retire IMO !
Also bunce lillis and the commentators agreed with the stoppage, please do me a favor !
Lillis was itching to speak the truth but he just wasn't allowed to.
Looked forward to this fight for a while, very disappointed tbh

I think this is a major issue with the channel, these folks are employed as effectively cheerleaders rather than as analysts and commentators.

Despite a slightly early stoppage, it shouldnt detract from the excellent form of Saunders, none of us predicted such a dominent victory. Saunders does really look the business
