I attended a lot of shows early doors, even bunked off work to catch his Olympic finals - but eventually the clap trap and Team Khan circus just dissolved my respect to the point i thought it was just a complete marketing farce. Treatment of Oliver Harrison, Jorge Rubio, Ariza and now Roach has showed their class and their true colours.

That was confirmed when Maidana sacked his manager because he'd learned GBP had actually done a deal to keep the pair apart. He eventually rallied the WBA to make his shot mandatory. Then GBP rolled in Cortez to keep him at bay throughout the bout. Maidana said afterwards that his forearm was badly bruised after Cortez grabbed it so forcfully during an exchange, that he thought him and the ref would start trading.

People just go glassy eyed and don't absorb that kind of corrupt bullshizzle in boxing, but it lights a fire underneath me.

What we actually got was (reported) contact from Team Khan about a McCloskey rematch (LOL) and an eventual match up with a much smaller fella renowned for his lack of punch power and having never fought at a higher weight.

Khan will beat Molina & look impressive in doing so. He guy isn't on Amir's level & is a lightweight. Mind you, in saying that, we know Amir's Chin isn't all that, so you just never know...

Freddy Roach told GBP to keep Khan away from punchers, so it looks like that approach is now being adopted. Problem is either they continue to adopt this approach long term & keep fighting guys like Molina. Or eventually they step up & he faces guys like Matthyse, Garcia (rematch), etc, etc.

It's strange that skysports flagged the weight difference from the beginning. Might mean they stop with the hype and put pressure on for better opponents. If they're letting the casual fans no thus then they can't be overly happy

Different kettle of fish, Aud and Amir. Amir can't take a punch but still tries to have a war (to his detriment), Aud can't take a punch so doesn't throw any. I know which I prefer.
