Froch would have fit into any era; it shouldn't hurt to give credit where credit is due.

I agree. I think Eubank at his best would beat Froch though. I rate Froch higher over all on quality of opposition. It's a strange one. Eubanks world title career is the polar opposite from Carl's.

My pal is a model, kind of past it now but still 'a player' on that scene. He did some gigs with Eubanks about 10 years ago and said he is the maddest party animal that he has ever known. And this guy is the maddest I know. I always thought he was teetotal and straight down the line family man. Very true, you could start a thread on any one of those and they would take a hammering. Still, i have to say it, Nelson has had enough time to get the hang of it, yet always comes across like its his first time on air. Its time to let him go IMO!

I'm guessing that twentysix has been at the sky studios and knows the craic.

Buncey doesn't need a big budget and huge staff to make his show classier and more polished. Just some imagination and creativity!

sorry to be pedantic but the thing is, you said my first post was "wrong" and then you divulge a load of information to backs up my original post. Quite confusing.

As a quick recap for clarity here is my original post broken down. Which part of this are you saying is "wrong"

1. For all the Bunce bashing to goes on here, remember he does hours on end live and unscripted.

2. Whereas those on Ringside have a week to prepare.

3. Hours to film a single hour show.

4. And more backroom support than Charles and Camilla to edit and produce.

The content of the Ringside show is not known a week in advance.
Example this week Eubank was only confirmed as being on the show Thursday morning.
It was filmed at lunchtime. Hours to prepare yes - two to be precise.
I can't comment on Steve Bunce - I don't know how much prep or otherwise he does.
One floor manager and three camermen plus one in the recoding studio I believe.
Camilla and Charles must be cutting back.

Ahhh the good old boxrec old women brigade are still in force.

I saw a couple of Ringside's whilst i was back over Christmas and really enjoyed them. Good guests, good presenting, good action, good build up to future fights, etc.
I would love to be able to watch it every week.

i hate slick tv presenting - its everywhere and its boring and i want rid of it. leave johnny alone at least hes not a hack journo or some smart ass brought in from another sport or another dept altogether. he fought in nthe ring and made a good career out of it - bored more than a few people but he climbed thru the ropes and traded punches whatever you say about him. these blokes should be on our screens more and slick media types less.
