everytime you post you name drop in some way or other

you seriously need to get over yourself.... your just a cameraman for fucks sake
The reason Eric is in a position to name drop is because he knows well and is genuinely friendly with pretty much everyone in the game.
So that gives him the right to be a c0ck?

As boxing fans we regularly talk about people in the game, Eric is in a position to give personal insights, people on the forum have accused him of bs before, I see it more as jealousy, he doesn't say stuff unless he has been there and done it.

I haven't seen the fight , so cant comment on that aspect.

People have the chance to here a reasoned explanation from the officials (if Eric is to be believed they will actually call) , how the hell can anybody criticising not take the oppurtunity with both hands to actually have a reasoned conversation with those involved?

give your phone number to the guy, and see what they have to say. Don't jump down his throat for such an off the cuff comment.

I think getting personal because someone dared question his mate is, if not cock-like, at least close enough to cock that it can be seen on a clear day. Particularly when... Well.

I don't know the fella so can't say, but did that sound like he was going to have a reasoned conversation? Or did it sound like a closing-the-doors old-boy's-network don't-ever-question-one-of-our-own bully-boy bullshit how-dare-you threat?

I have my own opinion, obviously, but I'd like to see how that comment could be construed as anything else.

& if he really meant "Give me your phone number so he can have a reasonable conversation" then I apologise but fvck me I'm having trouble seeing that from the tone of the post, mate.

:TU: otherwise it would have been worded

PM me your phone numbers, and I will get them to call you, then THEY can explain to them TO YOU

As people where questioning the judging. Unless they needed a phone call to explain the question? Which wasn't that hard to understand. Especially when compared to the judging

What would be better is if Eric could get Paul Thomas to come on here and explain his scoring on various fights he has judged and reffed but the thread would 168 pages long and the bandwith of boxrec would fornicating explode. Paul Thomas is the main offender by a long long chalk.

The original post was very bullish, using terms like inept, corrupt, joke etc.
Whether you agree with his opinion or not you can hardly be surprised if equally bullish responses are made.

What would you call it then mate?

A slight conflict of interest? A prolonged series of questionable results? A Series of Unfortunate Events? A catalogue of teensy-tiny-ickle oversights? Is that better?

I fvcking love boxing.

I love the people involved. How can you not?

But fvck me everyone I've ever spoken to (& twenty years of going to fights, it's one or two) acknowledges that some cancerous shit goes on, & then out the other side of their mouths they dig the shithole a little deeper, because they've all got one eye on their pocket.

Listen to A Certain Someone reminisce if you want a shining example. "Old Kent Road... Closed down pub... 'E 'ad to retire, detached brain stem... Shame people get exploited... Closed down pub... Shady reference... Closed down pub... I'm gonna get a job as a promoter's boy...".

The problem with boxing is... Boxing people. & the bullshit "it's how it's done" mentality. & it's fvcking retarded that you can't speak honestly because of "the way things are done". I know people like it that way, but fvck me I'll be glad in twenty-five years, if I'm still alive, because hopefully the next wave will be as repulsed by all this cloak & dagger fvcking pull-the-wagons-round-in-a-circle bullshit as I am.

I've just had an irate Paul Thomas on the phone. He's requested that we all ring Eric Guy instead.

Eric, what's your number please?

Teddys Toupee may have a story to tell about Mr Vann and his impartiallity, as a ref and not a judge though.

That's brilliant. Thank you for that. Are you here all week?

In other news, I'm actually most upset that no-one got my Lemony Snicket reference. I worked that in quite well, I thought...
