I find it interesting that after almost no amateur career, and only 7 fights, people aren't anticipating that Eubank might improve somewhat from his current level of ability.

Eubank has been sparring top level pros in pro gyms for yonks. He has lived like a pro for the best part of 3/4 years. He might not have an extensive amateur record, although he did have amateur experience, but I remember reading pieces in Boxing News about his all out spars with the likes of Zab Judah in Vegas 3/4 years ago which would have served him better and taught him much more than two dozen amateurs fights in the UK.

Remember who his old man is. Training and prep, living the lifestyle etc, it was all or nothing when the lad decided he wanted to be a fighter or his old man wouldn't have allowed it.

In understand, and also agree that he will improve ove the next couple of years.

To be fair though, your statement is factually correct but does not tell the full story. Although he had limited amateur experience, the lad is 23 years of age and has never had a job - since he took up boxing he has been able to train full time and have access to the best facilities, trainers, knowledge, nutrition etc.etc.

Even now as a pro he does not have to worry about tickets etc. so he does have some major advantages.

He is being matched very well at the moment, and believe that he will be moved towards a "world" title of sorts over the next 2 or 3 years.
