I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
Insider- I think you should maybe look at his record, In his first 8 fights hes been in the ring with 3 unbeaten fighters away from home, Why should Ronnie not get a fight and more ring time because people are not willing to fight him? Your talking absolute nonsense. If he was fighting for a title id understand your point but all these prospects are fighting journeyman all the way up to about there 18th fight. Journeymen showboat all the time to show there not hurt and Abdul Rashid also used a bit of gamesmanship in the ring against Ronnie which is a part of boxing and is accepted:)

I'll say it again, I've got no problem with it, or with anyone who does it regardless of their ability. I look forward to more of Ronnies showboating and hopefully it won't be against any of the 4 lads who were ranked lower in the country than the last one (89 of 93). ;)JamieM wrote:Insider- I think you should maybe look at his record, In his first 8 fights hes been in the ring with 3 unbeaten fighters away from home, Why should Ronnie not get a fight and more ring time because people are not willing to fight him? I hope so also, But hey needs must, 13 shows were on this weekend all over britain I heard and in truth most unbeaten prospects remain unbeaten because they fight punchbags;) Lets see if any get in the ring with Ronnie for 2013.
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
He was offered Cacace and Ideh Ockuko but turned them both down,FACT! So don't come on here saying that he'll fight anyoneThe Insider wrote:We know. He just did. As for the showboating, I've got no problem with it whatsoever but Ronnie may find it harder to "perform" against someone who provides more of a challenge.JamieM wrote:Tony Lindie generally would put Ronnie in the ring with anyone.
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
Ronnie was offered ochuko guy at 10 stone. Thats clearly never going to happen. Too heavy and was never offered Cacace at all so the facts you have are wrong. Ronnie would fight Cacace no problem at all :) Do you really believe that cacaces team would have fought Ronnie on a couple of days notice when Ronnie had been training for 6 weeks for this fight? If you do you clearly have no clue:)

Ockuko was out at the weekend on Steve Goodwin's show I believe, but I think it was at lightweight which would back up the 10 stone claims.
I think the biggest problem for Ronnie is going to be his promoter putting his hand in his pocket and getting the fights he desires.

I know for a fact Ronnie would have took the Cacace fight we had that exact conversation when he was put on the bill so your barking right up the wrong tree there.. As for Ockuko. Ronnie wants his fights at Super Feather so a maximum of 9stone 8.. From what I've heard Ockuko was going to weigh in over 10stone so obviously that went no further forward. No offence but Ronnie has been in with Maxi Hughes and Ryan Walsh who are both better than Cacace and arguably Ronnie won both fights.ppb wrote:He was offered Cacace and Ideh Ockuko but turned them both down,FACT! In honesty I can't see Cacace's camp taking a risk and fighting Ronnie this early in his career. I believe they will avoid that until its for a title if both fighters get there..
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
This is all really petty stuff. Ronnie stay away from the forums.

Ronnie was 9.10 on Sat night and Cacace's was 9.9 but i dont think they should box the now not for the same reasons as you ...

What's your reason because clearly you want me to ask
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
Cant wait for Ronnies next few fights, im hoping for a couple more journeyman as he clearly avoids all the big fights. arrogant twat haha, sort yourself out guys. Cacace wont fight him as his manager wont let him fight Ronnie. Fact. Cant see where he gets beat to be honest. Everyone on here says Ronnie gets offered this, Ronnie gets offered that. Contact Tony Lindie and he will give you all the people he has spoke to for fighting Ronnie and all the answers. Forums are places were the truth is twisted by egos pretending they are not hiding but sugar coat stuff anytime with stuff like ( meet later for a title and more on the line) its all crap. Not every decent fight needs to be for a title:S

Just read the article. poor reporting. I didnt feel for one minute there was any disrespect shown to me. I do the same in sparring and fights. its not arrogance or cockiness - just enjoying ones self. Sure, i was trying to wind ronnie up myself by shaking my head at him when he had me on the ropes and I even told him I'd take his shots all night long in an attempt to upset his gameplan. we spent a lot of the fight smiling at each other believe it or not! we touched gloves at the start of every round and at the end. thats a lot of showing respect over 8 rounds!!! what people dont realise is that from the weigh in to the moment I left the venue, there was no animosity or bad blood between us. quite the opposite. we took photos together at the weigh in and shared some banter in the changing rooms after the fight. There was no need for the reporter to address this as it happens in every ring every week all over the world. no big deal!

Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
i meant to put my reasons down sorry i had to rush out ... i feel they should box for a title not just for the bragging rights to who won over 4 or 6 Rd's fight for poor wages because after all that what there in this sport for money and titles so good luck ...daviddee wrote:What's your reason because clearly you want me to ask
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
Smashing- I understand what you are saying but not everyone is going to make it at title level, in Ronnies short pro career iv heard people say not to rematch Walsh or Maxi Hughes as they should fight for a title at later date, People saying not to fight micheal roberts as its a fight for a later date, not Cacare? Also heard the same about Craig Evans, Walsh has now said he wont fight at superfeather weight, 2 much, Maxi Hughes too moved up as has craig evans to lightweight. Think too many fights are passed up over a slight chance both fighters may make a title fight.
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
the article is written by one person, dont confuse this with the opinions of many. confidence is a good thing, if you showboat to prove your confidence then so be it.

I don't wanna box for money or titles :s they are just a bonus ;) I don't see y I could not fight a person and win lose or draw fight them 4 months later! I just love to fight!!! I don't need bragging rights as I live in my own little world with my family :) and really I lost all opinions on belts a long time ago when I realised they were just for holding my trousers up ;)
To be the best u gotta fight the best :p

I love showboating I think its part of the game.
However I once showboated as an amateur in a fight I was winning and my trainer punched me in the face with a sponge- and I cried. I was only 13 or something.

Personally I dont have an issue with it AFTER a fight is over with; its whats done during fights that bothers the piss out of me. Just don't act all Jeremy 'Half Man Half Amazing' Williams and get a big head, nobody likes a smart ass.

At the risk of being labelled a male chauvinistic pig, I have to say the blonde bird has got a cracking pair on her.
Re: I'm sorry if I offended anyone?!?
A good fight for you in the new year Ronnie would be Troy James.
On the back of his defeat against Terry Flannigan, a fight/win over you if he managed to get it would look good for his record and again vice-versa.

What the hell is that picture all about at the top of the show review?

The lassy works at the hairdressers that sponsors Gareth Stemp (one of the fighters featured on the card) I'd imagine.TheCobra wrote:What the hell is that picture all about at the top of the show review?

I totally agree but in the new year I would like to look at a Scottish Title shot with either Davie Savage Jr, Michael Roberts Jr or Jonathan Slowey they are all good fights and am sure it would be an excellent fight over 10 rounds :)
If we can't do any these fights I will try Troy James... Next year I wanna fight in the top 5 in Britain :) Paul Trusscott is a massive option...
