cant help but think he should have had another shot soon after the Nishioka fight, when he signed for hatton he was left to inactive and when he did fight he was in with poor opponents, think things could have been very different for Munroe.

Part of me think he made a mistake in moving to Hatton as nothing really happened for him after that, the other part thinks he reached his peak in challenging for the world title after defending the EBU so many times, so he was never going to better that.

you've made a couple of points that look right to me, why was Rendall held back so much after signing for the Hattons, maybe they thought that he could get a quick shot at a title and when that didn't pan out their focus went to Quigg instead, its a shame that Munroe never got anther go at world level as he could of moved up to that next level at the right time.

I could also see Munroe come back in about 6 months, it must be hard to give up the life and he seems to be the sort that is always going to keep fit.

I think Frank Maloney did wonders with him, when you think he sidestepped Biritsh title and got him that Euro title, then he was on his way to world level. Great promoting for me and it was sad to see him jump ship to Hatton Promotions. It's always sad when you see level-headed, decent people getting their heads turned by billy bullshitters - that's what seemed to happen here and his career stagnated from then on.

Hatton promotions really let him down big style, but some might say, you make your bed, you lie in it.
