I cannot see how last night's performance leads to such certainty in instant doom that so many predict, the guy admits he is a work in progress.
Khan admits he's a work in progress .... PLEASE
He cannot take heavy shots to the head not the chin the head.
This means his only hope of a career is fighting people who cant bang.
He will be sparked out if he fights Garcia again as he plans .
He will be retired by 2014 hopefully not with any lasting damage.
Brook may retire him next summer.

Bossed the fight against an opponent that was pretty much hand picked because of his lack of power, he was still caught once or twice though and if that was against anyone with a punch the evening could have ended with Amir down again.

Simple truth is Amir is just short of top level, he's got all the skill set needed to be a Vegas headline fighter but not the chin and we all know it.

former world champ AND a work in progress!! i have now given up on advising AK (from my armchair) to become a quick handed, back foot counter puncher. i'm wasting my time. you're on your own now, son.

He threw a few more single jabs than usual, and showed a tad more head movement. That said, he was still getting hit pretty easily.

I can't help thinking that we'll get a repeat of everything that's happened since Prescott. He'll pick up a few things from his new trainer, get a few good wins under his belt, probably win a world title, and then as soon as he gets in a tricky situation all the new stuff will go out the window and he'll be beaten. And then switch trainers.

Like everyone else on here it looked like the same Khan to me, but I'm not really sure who expected it to be any different? Even if he is going to change under Hunter (which I doubt) we were unlikely to see it in this fight.

perfect fight in which to unveil his new approach in my opinion - bit too late to do it against a danger man...khan might not be able to put it into action, then he's fecked!

I just thought it was a fair match for someone rebuilding their career - and making his debut under new trainer.

Thought he did OK - no better, no worse.

As usual, he made a stupid comment after re beating Danny Garcia. That said, I would like to see a rematch and i think if Khan could stick to his boxing he would have a chance of revenge in that one. Although he would be a significant underdog.
