Have to admit that I am not keen on the buftie. Goes against nature and I`m a naturalist.
Obviously it goes against nature. Well-known fact isn't it, that being gay was created in a lab in 1963.
Good job animals of the same gender haven't been happily porking (or raping, if you're a mallard) each other for millions of years, you know it's unnatural. Good. Glad we've cleared that one up.

Homosexuality exists in over 1500 species, Homophobia is observed in just one.

i dont think you are too far out ;;-)
Re: Gay boxers.
I'm not sure. I agree there must be a reason why some people are repulsed (genuinely repulsed i.e. not affected repulsion which is a very different issue) by homosexuality but I question whether that reason is typically a deep seated homosexual tendency. It is something that is commonly proposed but I've always got the impression it's not based on any type of fact or concerted study. If a repulsion brought on by the sight or thought of homosexual acts was caused by a deep seated tendency towards homosexuality, it would figure that those repulsed by, for example: child abuse, murder, rape, Marmite, etc... must have deep seated tendencies towards those things. This may or may not be the case. The Dark Destroyer wrote:I always wonder about the people who proclaim to hate it and how much it repulses them, there must be a reason why. Deep seated homosexual tendencies probably.

dont rule it out - we are not even aware of the depths of our own psyches

I'm not ruling it out. Far from it. I'm not sure is all.misterpunch wrote:dont rule it out - we are not even aware of the depths of our own psyches
It is interesting, though, that people often throw out the "you must have homosexual tendencies" line when people say they don't like the thought of homosexual acts. But you never hear people say "you must have homicidal tendencies" when someone says they are repulsed by a murder. Either may or may not be the case. We don't know.

Taking it up the shoebox is perhaps the most repulsive thing I can imagine.

For the life of me I just cannot comprehend why a bloke would prefer another blokes instead of a tasty bird. It makes no sense to me.Fat Git wrote:Yeah, but you are not taking it up the shoebox - why do you care?forcefraser wrote:Taking it up the shoebox is perhaps the most repulsive thing I can imagine.
The main problem I have with it is that some gay blokes speak with an affected queer voice. Surely that's'not how they really speak. Being gay cannot physically alter your voice.
The flaunty nature of some gays is offputting as well. You rarely see a straight bloke ramming it down your throat (wxcuse the pun) that he is straight. I might be old fashioned but a tasty birds fanny is a much better place to be.

I understand all that and I agree with the points regarding nice looking women and their fannies but I also understand not everyone is me. the sight of a flaccid cock doesn't do anything for me but I have enough broadness of mind to realise that others would love the sight of that. As long as both parties are consenting and are adults then they can rock on an do whatever they want.

I'm sure if you talk to any female they could tell you about the constant harassment that they get just walking down the street from the straight blokes that don't ram their heterosexuality down people's throats.forcefraser wrote:For the life of me I just cannot comprehend why a bloke would prefer another blokes instead of a tasty bird. 'A tasty birds fanny' are you Sid James?
Re: Gay boxers.
forcefraser, Rhino earlier in the thread was talking about his "old school" hetrosexuality. Banjo often talks about what him and his misses get up to. There are countless wouldja threads in this forum about having sex with various women. Now turn that around and you would see it as gays ramming it down you throat (as you put it). Almost like you see it as them purposely taking the time out to try and annoy you? Why don't they just keep it quiet? Why, so people like you are less repulsed by them?
I freelance in a fashion company with many gay men, my cousin who I've know all my life is married to another man, I have friends I visit frequently down in Brighton. I used to work in Soho. To this day I cannot remember ever having seen two men passionately kiss. If anything, from actually speaking to people, they are still very much aware of the dangers of doing such a thing in a public place. My cousin won't even get a train home from London in the evening after trouble he has had in the past (the guy was camp as a 4 year old, it's not something he puts on to repulse narrow-minded individuals). These guys have all faced discrimination in their lives for the way that they naturally are, I'm sure there are lots of people who are also repulsed by black people because they are different, there you go, you're in the same group as them.
I don't like artichokes, I won't ever eat them. The fact that others might like them does not repulse me.
Unless they try and force one up my arse.

I don`t class myself as a narrow minded individual. I moved abroad when I was 19, I married a foreign bird, have friends of all races and religions. When it comes to bufties, I don`t go around trying to beat them up just because they are gay. Let them get on with it as far as I am concerned. However I will not pretend that it does not repulse me. The thought of what gay men do is repulsive to me. I cannot understand why they would want to do it. They have a right to be gay and I have a right to be repulsed by it.
As for being camp I can accept that some people are more camp than others, but that accent that a lot of bufties put on is just a joke. It`s just telling to people "I`m gay". "Speak properly you muppet" is my response.
Lesbians as far as I know do not have a special way of talking to let the world know their sexuality. Lesians don`t repluse me, far from it. there is nothingbetter than a couple of lemons in a top and tail job.
Re: Gay boxers.
I suspect you'd not be too keen watching a couple of fat middle aged bull dykes going at it.

Re: Gay boxers.
much as i disagree with your stance forcefraser i do think your point about lesbians is a good one. some gay men do speak in a more "feminised" manner than others but gay women do not have any evident modes of speech that differ from hetero women. however, rather than it getting on my nerves, i simply need to know why it is.
the repulsion question is also interesting; you say that two men getting up to stuff repulses you. but that two women together or a woman taking it up the shoebox or giving a BJ is quite a wonderful sight. this tells me that you have difficulty picturing either men or women in anything other than traditional roles. i'd guess you find women on building sites laying bricks or plastering walls a bit odd. perhaps men at home looking after the domestic chores is not so good in your view. i'm only guessing and i respect your way of seeing things while trying be a bit more understanding of the changing ways of how people wish to live their lives.
plus - your fantastic descriptions and terms for various sexual practices have made me chuckle

Re: Gay boxers.
The whole thing is a non-issue to my mind. I like people. If you go for a pint with somone, it's because you enjoy their company not because of who they are sleeping with/or fancy.
If someone is gay, they haven't messed up, there is nothing wrong with them. To that person, fancying a man or a woman, is the most natural thing in the world, in the same way some people fancy confident people, whilst others are very taken with quieter personailities.Equally, some people love being in a dramatic relationship and some people don't. Everyone has their own variations on the theme of love/fancying people.
I just don't understand how someone not fancying the same person or gender as you makes them less than equal. That school of thought is a nonsense.

After all, if we were to discriminate based upon our reactions to peoples' choice of bed-partners, Kevo would be the most unpopular man on Earth. But thankfully it's not so...
Re: Gay boxers.
Everything comes back to Darwinism. People are gay for a reason. Deal with it.
