I just find the man fascinating.
I've travelled all over the place watching boxing, met many fighters along the way, made many friends, and been fortunate enough to do work in boxing outside the ring.
In all that time I've never come across anyone like him.
I was lucky enough to be in the Sky Studios a few months ago when this was filmed and when the cameras went off the banter continued.
From a personal point of view his stories of his time in Sheffield, the Naz thing, and his glowing testimonial of Herol will live long in the memory.
You could see how much Johnny was loving it as well. What a great way to earn a living !
He's an acquired taste no doubt about that but I could listen to him for hours.

Glad to see so many positive comments about Eubank.

Always irritated me the way that complete nipple David Gower (with about as much personality as a box of matches) spoke to him on They Think It's All Over. And on Question of Sport that other disrespectful Irish bald headed ex-Rugby whoever he is.

Two memories I have of Eubank that i believe are the mark of the man; One - at the height of his fame and infamy he was at an amateur show in Brighton with absolutely no cameras/media around. He handed out the trophies, posed for photos and signed every autograph asked whilst dispensing words of encouragement and advice to the young boxers/fand who approached him without fail. A true gent who gave his time willingly. Two - The Thompson fights - Leapt two divisions against a significant naturally bigger man who could truly whack. Eubank took his lumps, pushed Thompson all the way and was gracious in defeat. He was a true warrior and a true gentleman. Top, top man!

I don't have the vocabularly to do justice as to how tough and brave a boxer Chris Eubank was, and having read his autobiography a few years back, and listened to him recently on TV, including Ringside tonight, I now regret hoping he'd lose every fight!

He's fascinating to listen to, and , yes, his philosophying ( is that how you spell it ?) is a bit bizarre, but he's so honest and perceptive that I can't help feeling uncomfortable.When you consider his upbringing he is a truly amazing individual. His story about the press conference before the Steve Collins fight was just incredible.
As a boxer he was always in top condition; he could take a helluva punch; he was quick on his feet; fearless; and could punch with authority, and he revealed tonight how he avoided so many punches - he was relaxed. When you're tense, either with fear or anger, you simply can't move as quickly.

I'm warming to Eubank !

The persona was world class, the fighter was not, sadly.

As much as i adored Eubank, he was never a great fighter. Who did he ever really beat?

If he didnt work so hard on his character (He still plays his character today, by the way, i wouldn't agree that he is saying what he really thinks) then he would probably lost his title in 1992 and never got it back.
