I've been thinking this myself. He said in interviews it was something he let himself be pushed into, rather than doing because he liked it. Also he used to come in with Mr. Kipling related weight issues to a lot of his fights. He never sounded that bothered.oliverfennell wrote:It's ironic how Danny used to struggle to motivate himself when he was in his prime, would suffer incredibly with pre-fight nerves, and admitted he was pretty much pushed into boxing by his father, and now that he's washed up he can't quit.TheCobra wrote:It's sad to see, Danny almost seems on a path of self-destruction. I don't know, maybe he has some demons and actually wants to destroy himself in the ring? Maybe he is like some real-life version of 'The Wrestler' who can think of nothing else that he can possibly do? Someone needs to stop him, very sad.
Now he should be retiring and writing his autobiography, he's over in Europe trying to prove he can still fight because he's not allowed to fight in Britain any more. Seems odd.
