Since the exclusive Matchroom contract, tonight was the worst card. 3 main fights all dreadfully one sided. And it's not like there were lots of late drop outs either.

Am not saying tonight's show was good but we have been getting some good shows recently from sky and with all the new crop coming through it will get better an better.

Another thing worth mentioning is that people have far to high expectations. Lets be real here if u want to see 50/50 world class fights j need to pay for them simple as that. I see a few people on here crying about paying ppv and saying they pay for sky sports. Boxing gets a tiny amount of money we pay for sky sports there is nowhere near enough money from sky sports to have great fights all the time. If people don't like paying for ppv it's simple don't get it and don't watch the big fights. Same with sky sports if yous are not happy with the fights there producing then get rid of sky sports no one puts a gun to ya head to watch it.

Since there monopoly has begun they stage a show every few weeks and they have been consistently poor quality, I can think of only a couple of shows where they have been ok to watch, we need all these promoters, and the Tv companys to show not only the big time promoters but the promoters who struggle to put on IMO better quality fights in the small hall's to give people a wider choice and to keep the non hard core fans interested other wise its only boxing that is going to suffer. Remind me if the great shows that were broadcast each and every week when Sky had four promoters?

The 4 promoter situation certainly did not encourage aggressive match making and the shows during that time were consistently weak and uncompetitive.

And please stop calling the situation a monopoly. How can it be a monopoly when boxing is available on Sky, BN, Loaded, C5, ESPN, Eurosport as well as online via you tube channels, coldwell app, etc. the situation is about as far from a monopoly as possible. In fact, it would be more accurate to describe Henessey as having a Terrestrial monopoly as his shows are the only ones available thru non-sub TV.

Hearn hasn't got a monopoly on boxing, but he does have a monopoly on boxing shown by sky which historically, over the last 10 years, has been televised boxings biggest outlet. And yes, since Hearn has had his "monopoly" with sky the shows have gone to shit. I'd still rather pay for BN, Codlwell TV and any other boxing app or pay to view channel than give sky a subscription for the tat they are showing lately.

I'm no big fan of FW, and have no affiliation to any promoter - but as a fan I want to see the best fight the best - and would much rather see the best domesticfighters fight each other for the lonsdale than see one of our "future stars" fight for a bollocksy international intercontinental bauble against some argentinian i've never heard off.
